Safety Information
WARNING: Operating this generator can produce carbon monoxide, a colorless, odorless gas. Breathing carbon monoxide can cause death. Always operate the generator outdoors in a well-ventilated area, far from windows, doors, and vents.
- Read and understand all instructions in this manual before operating the generator.
- Keep children and pets away from the generator.
- Do not operate in rain or wet conditions.
- Ensure proper grounding to prevent electrical shock.
- Always use fresh, unleaded gasoline.
- Do not overfill the fuel tank.
- Allow the generator to cool before refueling.
Setup
1. Unboxing and Initial Checks
Carefully remove the generator from its packaging. Inspect for any damage. Ensure all accessories, including the remote controller, are present.
2. Add Engine Oil
The generator is shipped without engine oil. You must add the recommended amount of oil before the first start. Locate the oil fill cap on the side panel. Remove the panel by unscrewing the fasteners. Add approximately 20 ounces of 10W-30 engine oil. Do not overfill. Use the provided funnel for easier pouring.

3. Connect the Battery
The battery for the electric start feature is shipped disconnected. Locate the battery compartment, usually behind a removable panel. Connect the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals securely. Ensure the rubber covers are placed over the terminals after connection.
4. Add Fuel (Gasoline)
Open the fuel cap located on top of the generator. Fill the tank with fresh, unleaded gasoline (minimum 87 octane). Do not use E85 or gasoline with more than 10% ethanol. Do not overfill. The fuel tank capacity is approximately 3.4 gallons.
5. Connect Propane (LPG) - Optional
If using propane, connect the provided LPG hose and regulator to the LPG inlet on the control panel. Ensure all connections are tight and secure. The generator is designed for quick-disconnect propane attachment.
6. Grounding
For safety, always ground the generator. Connect a grounding wire from the generator's grounding terminal to a grounding rod driven into the earth.

3. Using Outlets
Once the generator is running, you can connect your devices to the available outlets:
- AC Receptacles: For standard household appliances.
- AC/RV Receptacle: For RV hookups.
- USB Ports: For charging mobile devices (USB-A and USB-C available).
- Parallel Outlets: Use these to connect two compatible Genkins generators for increased power output.
4. Eco Mode
The Eco Mode switch allows the generator to automatically adjust engine speed to match the load, improving fuel efficiency and reducing noise. Turn Eco Mode ON for lighter loads and OFF for heavy loads or when starting high-demand appliances.
5. Monitoring
The digital display center provides real-time information including voltage, frequency, and run time. LED indicators show power output, low oil, and other status alerts.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your generator.
- Oil Change: Change the engine oil after the first 20 hours of use or the first month. Subsequently, change oil every 100 hours or every 6 months.
- Air Filter: Check and clean the air filter every 50 hours or every 3 months. Replace if damaged.
- Spark Plug: Inspect and clean the spark plug every 100 hours or every 6 months. Replace annually or as needed.
- Fuel System: Drain the carburetor bowl if storing the generator for more than 30 days to prevent fuel degradation.
- Spark Arrester: Clean the spark arrester every 100 hours or every 6 months to prevent carbon buildup.

Troubleshooting
- Generator will not start:
- Check fuel level.
- Ensure oil level is sufficient (low oil sensor will prevent starting).
- Verify battery connection for electric start.
- Check spark plug for fouling or damage.
- Ensure choke is in the correct position for starting.
- No power output:
- Check if circuit breakers have tripped. Reset if necessary.
- Ensure Eco Mode is off for high-demand appliances.
- Engine runs rough:
- Check fuel quality; use fresh gasoline.
- Inspect air filter for clogging.
- Ensure spark plug is clean and properly gapped.
- Battery not holding charge:
- The battery may be undersized or faulty. Consider replacing with a more robust battery if issues persist, especially in cold weather.
- Disconnect the battery when not in use for extended periods to prevent discharge.
