3.2 Filling the Water Tank

  1. Ensure the iron is unplugged from the power outlet.
  2. Open the water tank filler cap.
  3. Fill the water tank with tap water up to the 'MAX' mark. For areas with very hard water, it is recommended to use a mixture of 50% tap water and 50% distilled water. Do not use 100% distilled water or water containing additives.
  4. Close the filler cap securely.

3.3 Initial Heating

  1. Place the iron on its heel on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
  2. Plug the iron into a suitable power outlet.
  3. The indicator light will illuminate, indicating the iron is heating up.
  4. Wait for the indicator light to turn off or change color (depending on the model) to signal that the iron has reached the desired temperature.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 General Ironing

  1. Prepare your garments by checking care labels for ironing instructions.
  2. Place the garment on an ironing board.
  3. The iCare Technology automatically adjusts the temperature for all ironable fabrics, eliminating the need for manual temperature selection.

4.2 Steam Ironing

Ensure the water tank is filled. The steam function is active when the iron reaches its operating temperature.

  • Continuous Steam: Adjust the steam output selector to the desired level.
  • Steam Shot (Turbo Pressing): For stubborn creases, press the steam shot button. This delivers a powerful burst of steam (220 g/min). Wait a few seconds between shots to allow the iron to reheat.

4.3 Vertical Steaming

The vertical steam function is useful for removing wrinkles from hanging clothes, curtains, or drapes.

  1. Hang the garment on a hanger.
  2. Hold the iron vertically, a few centimeters away from the fabric.
  3. Press the steam shot button repeatedly to release bursts of steam.

4.4 Eco Mode

Activate Eco Mode for energy-saving ironing, particularly suitable for delicate fabrics like silk, wool, or synthetics. Refer to the iron's controls for the Eco Mode button or setting.

4.5 Automatic Shut-off

For safety and energy saving, the iron will automatically switch off if left unattended for 8 minutes in an upright position. To restart, simply move the iron.

5. Maintenance and Care

5.1 Cleaning the Soleplate

To clean the soleplate, ensure the iron is unplugged and completely cool. Wipe the soleplate with a damp cloth and a non-abrasive cleaner. Do not use metallic scouring pads or abrasive cleaners as they can scratch the soleplate.

5.2 Descaling (Self-Clean Function)

Regular descaling helps maintain optimal steam performance and prolong the life of your iron.

  1. Fill the water tank to the 'MAX' level.
  2. Plug in the iron and set it to the highest temperature setting (if applicable, otherwise iCare handles it).
  3. Once the iron reaches temperature, unplug it.
  4. Hold the iron horizontally over a sink.
  5. Press and hold the self-clean button (refer to your iron's specific button layout if available, otherwise use the steam shot button to flush). Shake the iron gently back and forth. Hot water and steam will be expelled from the soleplate, carrying away scale particles.
  6. Continue until the water tank is empty.
  7. Plug in the iron again and let it heat up to dry the soleplate.
  8. Unplug and store once cool.

5.3 Storage

After use, unplug the iron and allow it to cool completely. Empty any remaining water from the tank. Store the iron upright on its heel in a safe, dry place.
