6. Maintenance
6.1 Emptying and Refilling the Water Tank
After each use, or when the water level is low, unplug the iron and allow it to cool. Remove the water tank and empty any remaining water. Refill as described in Section 4.2.
6.2 EasyCalc Clean System (Descaling)
The EasyCalc Clean system makes descaling simple. Regular descaling is crucial to maintain steam performance and prolong the life of your appliance, especially in areas with hard water. Refer to the specific instructions in the full manual for the descaling procedure. Typically, this involves activating a cleaning cycle and rinsing the system.
6.3 Cleaning the Soleplate
To clean the ceramic soleplate, ensure the iron is unplugged and completely cool. Wipe the soleplate with a damp cloth and a non-abrasive liquid cleaner if necessary. Do not use harsh scouring pads or metallic cleaners.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your iron, consult the following table:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No steam is produced. | Water tank is empty or not properly seated. | Fill the water tank and ensure it is correctly inserted. |
| Water drips from the soleplate. | Temperature is too low for steam generation (Anti-Drip System). | Increase the temperature setting. Wait for the iron to heat up sufficiently. |
| Iron does not heat up. | Not plugged in, power outage, or automatic shut-off activated. | Check power connection. Reset by unplugging and replugging. |
| Poor steam performance. | Limescale buildup. | Perform the EasyCalc Clean descaling procedure. |
