2. Setup Instructions
2.1 Unboxing and Initial Placement
- Carefully remove the air purifier from its packaging.
- Place the unit on a flat, stable surface in the desired room. Ensure there is at least 6 inches of clearance around the back and sides for optimal airflow.
- Avoid placing the unit directly next to a window or balcony that is frequently open, as this can reduce efficiency.
2.2 Filter Preparation
- The unit comes with an installed filter. Before first use, ensure all protective plastic packaging is removed from the filter.
- To access the filter, open the side panel of the air purifier.
- Remove the filter, unwrap any plastic, and reinsert it correctly.
2.3 Power Connection
- Plug the power cord into a standard AC electrical outlet.
- The unit is now ready for operation.
3. Operating Instructions
3.1 Control Panel Overview
The control panel is located on the top surface of the unit. It features touch controls for various functions and indicators for status updates.

- Power Button: Turns the unit on or off.
- Fan Speed: Taps to cycle through fan speeds 1-3, Pet Mode, and Night Mode.
- Display Lock: Locks the display to prevent accidental changes.
- Pet Detected Indicator: Illuminates when pet activity is detected.
- WiFi Indicator: Shows the status of the WiFi connection.
- Filter Lifetime Indicator: Indicates remaining filter life.
3.2 Modes of Operation
- Auto Mode: Uses intelligent sensors to monitor air quality in real time and automatically adjusts fan speeds for maximum efficiency.
- Pet Mode: Increases airflow when pet activity is detected, such as during playtime or shedding season, to combat odors and fur.
- Night Mode: Lowers fan speed and noise for quiet operation during sleep, while continuing to purify the air.
3.3 Air Quality Indicator
The unit features a visual air quality indicator that changes color based on the detected air quality:
- Blue: Excellent air quality.
- Green: Good air quality.
- Yellow: Moderate air quality.
- Orange: Polluted air quality.
- Red: Very polluted air quality.

3.4 Mobile App Control
The Blueair PetAir can be controlled and monitored via the Blueair mobile app, available for download on the App Store and Google Play. The app allows for:

4. Maintenance
4.1 FurLock™ Technology Tray Cleaning
The PetAir purifier features a removable tray for collecting pet fur, which helps extend the life of the main filter.
- Regularly pull out the fur collection tray located at the front of the unit.
- Empty the collected fur and debris into a waste bin.
- Wipe the tray clean with a damp cloth if necessary.
- Push the tray back into its slot until it clicks securely.

4.2 Filter Replacement
The H13 True HEPA filter media + 5 Stages of filtration captures 99.97% of airborne particles. The filter lifetime is tracked by RealTrack™ Technology and indicated on the control panel and in the mobile app.
- When the filter lifetime indicator shows that replacement is needed, order a new filter through the Blueair app or authorized retailers.
- To replace the filter, open the side panel, remove the old filter, and insert the new one.
- Reset the filter indicator according to the instructions in the app or user manual.

5. Troubleshooting
5.1 Unit Not Turning On
- Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working electrical outlet.
- Check if the power button on the control panel or in the app is pressed.
5.2 Poor Air Quality Readings
- Verify that the unit is placed with adequate clearance from walls or furniture.
- Clean the FurLock™ Technology tray and check the main filter for excessive dirt or blockage.
- Ensure no external factors (e.g., open windows, strong odors) are affecting the readings.
5.3 Unusual Noise
- Check for any obstructions in the air intake or outlet vents.
- Ensure the filter is correctly installed and the side panel is securely closed.
