Setup Guide

Follow these steps to properly set up your Technical Pro POWER65 amplifier:

  1. Placement: Position the amplifier on a stable, flat surface, ensuring adequate ventilation around the unit. Do not block the cooling fan vents.
  2. Power Off: Ensure the amplifier's power switch is in the OFF position before making any connections.
  3. Input Connections: Connect your audio source (mixer, pre-amplifier, etc.) to the amplifier's input jacks. The POWER65 supports XLR, 1/4'', and RCA inputs. Use appropriate cables for your source.
  4. Output Connections: Connect your speakers to the amplifier's output terminals. The POWER65 offers Banana binding post, Speakon, and 1/4'' outputs. Ensure correct polarity (+ to + and - to -) when connecting speakers.
  5. Power Connection: Plug the provided power cord into the amplifier's AC inlet, then plug the other end into a suitable power outlet.
  6. Initial Volume Setting: Turn the CH1 and CH2 volume knobs to their minimum (fully counter-clockwise) position before powering on.

Operating Instructions

Once the amplifier is set up, follow these steps for operation:

  1. Power On: Flip the power switch on the front panel to the ON position. The power indicator LED will illuminate.
  2. Volume Adjustment: Slowly increase the CH1 and CH2 volume knobs to achieve the desired audio level. Observe the Spectrum LED Display for visual feedback on signal levels.
  3. Monitoring Performance: The front panel features LED indicators for Signal, Clip, and Protect. The Signal LED indicates an active audio signal. The Clip LED illuminates when the signal is too strong and causing distortion; reduce the volume if this occurs. The Protect LED indicates that the amplifier has entered protection mode due to an issue (e.g., overheating, short circuit); power off the unit and troubleshoot if this occurs.
  4. Bridge/Stereo Mode: The amplifier supports both stereo and bridged mono operation. Refer to the specific connection diagrams for your desired mode. In stereo mode, each channel operates independently. In bridged mode, both channels combine to deliver higher power to a single speaker.
  5. Power Off: Before disconnecting any cables or shutting down your audio system, turn the amplifier's volume knobs to minimum and then flip the power switch to the OFF position.
