This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient use of your Link2Home Wi-Fi LED BC (B22) Opal GLS Dimmable Bulb. This smart bulb offers customizable lighting with dimming, white light spectrum adjustment (2700K-6500K), and over 16 million RGB colors, controllable via the Link2Home Pro app or voice assistants.

Safety Information

  • Ensure the power is turned off at the switch before installing or removing the bulb.
  • Do not use with standard dimmers. This bulb is dimmable only via the Link2Home Pro app or compatible voice assistants.
  • Suitable for indoor use in dry locations only.

Setup

1. Physical Installation

  1. Ensure the power to the light fitting is switched off at the mains.
  2. Carefully screw the Link2Home Wi-Fi LED Bulb into a standard BC (B22) light fitting.
  3. Turn the power back on at the mains. The bulb should flash rapidly, indicating it is ready for pairing. If it does not flash, switch the bulb off and on rapidly three times to enter pairing mode.

2. App Installation and Pairing

  1. Download the Link2Home Pro app from the Apple App Store (for iOS 8 or later) or Google Play Store (for Android 4.1 or later).
  2. Register for a free Link2Home Pro account or log in if you already have one.
  3. In the app, tap the '+' icon or 'Add Device' to begin the pairing process.
  4. Select 'Lighting' or 'Light Source' and then choose the appropriate bulb type.
  5. Confirm that the bulb is flashing rapidly. If not, reset it by switching it off and on rapidly three times.
  6. Enter your Wi-Fi network details (ensure you are connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network, as 5GHz networks are not supported).
  7. The app will search for and connect to the bulb. Once connected, you can rename the bulb for easier control.

Operating the Bulb

1. App Control (Link2Home Pro)

  • Dimming: Adjust the brightness level using the dimmer slider in the app.
  • White Light Spectrum: Select white light temperatures from a warm 2700K to a cool 6500K.
  • Color Selection: Choose from over 16 million colors using the color scroll wheel.
  • Timers: Set precise schedules for the bulb to turn on/off or change settings, customizable by days of the week. Countdown timers are also available.
  • Grouping: Group multiple Link2Home smart lights together to control them simultaneously as a single unit (e.g., 'Living Room Lights').

2. Voice Control

The bulb is fully integrated with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. To enable voice control:

  1. Link your Link2Home Pro account to your Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant app.
  2. Discover devices in your voice assistant app.
  3. Use voice commands such as:
    • "Alexa, turn on [Bulb Name]"
    • "Hey Google, set [Bulb Name] to 50% brightness"
    • "Alexa, change [Bulb Name] to blue"
    • "Hey Google, make [Bulb Name] warm white"

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Ensure the bulb is cool and the power is off before cleaning. Wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners.
  • Bulb Replacement: When the bulb reaches the end of its life, ensure power is off, unscrew the old bulb, and replace it with a new Link2Home Wi-Fi LED Smart Bulb.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Bulb does not flash for pairing. Not in pairing mode. Switch the bulb off and on rapidly three times to enter pairing mode.
Bulb fails to connect to Wi-Fi. Incorrect Wi-Fi band (5GHz), weak signal, incorrect password. Ensure your phone is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. Move closer to the router. Double-check Wi-Fi password.
Voice control not working. Account not linked, device not discovered. Ensure Link2Home Pro account is linked to Alexa/Google Assistant. Run device discovery in the voice assistant app.
Bulb is unresponsive. Power outage, Wi-Fi disconnected, app issue. Check power supply. Verify Wi-Fi connection. Restart the Link2Home Pro app.
