Rear Connections

The rear of the unit includes the main ISO connector for power and speaker wiring, antenna inputs for FM/DAB+, and RCA outputs for external amplifiers. It also features a dedicated video output and an RCA camera input for connecting a dashboard or parking camera.

The remote control allows for convenient operation of various functions, including power, mode selection, volume adjustment, track skipping, and station tuning.
Setup
Installation
- Disconnect Battery: Before starting installation, disconnect the negative terminal of your car battery to prevent electrical shorts.
- Mounting: Insert the metal mounting sleeve into the dashboard opening. Bend the tabs outwards to secure it.
- Wiring: Connect the ISO harness from the car radio to your vehicle's wiring harness. Ensure all connections are secure.
- Antenna Connection: Connect the FM antenna and the DAB+ antenna (if applicable) to their respective inputs on the rear of the unit.
- External Devices: If using external amplifiers or cameras, connect the RCA cables to the appropriate outputs/inputs.
- Slide Unit In: Carefully slide the car radio into the mounting sleeve until it clicks into place.
- Reconnect Battery: Reconnect the negative terminal of your car battery.
Initial Power On
Press the POWER button to turn on the unit. The display will illuminate. You may need to set the clock and perform an initial scan for radio stations.
Operating
Radio (DAB+/FM)
- Mode Selection: Press the MODE button to switch to DAB or FM radio mode.
- Station Scan: In radio mode, press and hold the BND/AMS button to automatically scan and store available stations.
- Manual Tuning: Use the TUNE/SEEK buttons (forward/backward arrows) to manually tune to stations.
- Presets: The unit allows storing up to 18 DAB and FM presets. To store a station, tune to it, then press and hold one of the numbered preset buttons (1-6) until you hear a beep. To recall a preset, simply press the corresponding numbered button.
- RDS EON (FM only): When available, RDS EON displays useful information such as program title or station name. It can also provide traffic information.
Bluetooth Connectivity
- Pairing:
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile device.
- Select Bluetooth mode on the car radio using the MODE button. The display will show "BT".
- On your mobile device, search for Bluetooth devices and select "RMD034DAB-BT".
- Once paired, the unit will confirm the connection.
- Audio Streaming (A2DP): After pairing, you can stream music from your mobile device to the car radio. Use the track control buttons on the radio or remote to skip tracks.
- Hands-free Calling (HFP): When a call comes in, the radio will mute audio and display the caller ID. Press the CALL button (usually the green phone icon) to answer. Use the internal microphone for communication. Press the END CALL button (red phone icon) to end the call.
USB and SD Card Playback
- Insert Media: Insert a USB stick or SD card (up to 32GB) into the corresponding slot on the front panel.
- Automatic Playback: The unit will automatically switch to USB/SD mode and begin playing compatible audio files.
- Navigation: Use the track control buttons to skip tracks. The display will show ID3 tag information (artist, song title) if available.

AUX Input
