Setup
Initial Charging

Bluetooth Pairing (Optional)
The BW Icon includes Bluetooth for ease of downloading and sending reports via the Safety Suite App. To pair with a mobile device:
- Turn on the BW Icon.
- Double-press the button to enter the menu.
- Single-press until the Bluetooth icon is displayed.
- Hold the button for 3 seconds to initiate pairing mode.
- On your mobile device, open the Device Configurator app and select the BW Icon from the device list.
Operating Instructions
Power On/Off
- Power On: Hold the button for 4 seconds.
- Power Off: Hold the button for 4 seconds.
Common Device Operations
- Enter and Exit Menu: Double-press the button.
- Select Next: Single-press the button.
- Initiate Selected: Hold the button for 3 seconds.
- Acknowledge Latched Alarm: Hold the button for 1 second.
Bump Test and Calibration
Regular bump tests and calibrations are crucial for ensuring the accuracy and reliability of your gas detector. Refer to the diagram in the Product Overview section for visual guidance.
- Turn on the BW Icon.
- Attach the calibration cap and tubing to the device.
- In your mobile device, open the Device Configurator app.
- In your BW Icon, double-press to enter the menu, then single-press until the Bluetooth icon is displayed. Hold for 3 seconds to enter pairing mode.
- In the Device list screen from the Device Configurator app, select the BW Icon.
- On your mobile device, select 'Remote Calibration' or 'Bump' and follow on-screen instructions.
- Once complete, remove the cap.
Understanding Alarms

- Alarm One: Indicates when the first alarm threshold is breached.
- Alarm Two: Indicates when the second alarm threshold is breached. Alarm Two will override any Alarm One status.

- STEL (Short Term Exposure Limit): Settable in Safety Suite DC for each toxic sensor.
- Bump: Indicates when a bump test is due.
- Calibration: Indicates when calibration is due.
