6. Troubleshooting
If your heater is not operating correctly, refer to the following common issues and solutions:
- Heater does not turn on:
- Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working electrical outlet.
- Check if the Mode Selector knob is set to a heat or fan setting (not OFF).
- Verify the heater is on a flat, stable surface. The tip-over switch will prevent operation if the heater is not upright.
- If the room temperature is higher than the thermostat setting, the heater may not turn on. Adjust the thermostat to a higher setting.
- Heater turns off unexpectedly:
- The overheat protection system may have activated. Unplug the heater, allow it to cool down for 10-15 minutes, and then plug it back in. Ensure air intake and exhaust are not blocked.
- The tip-over switch may have activated. Ensure the heater is on a stable, level surface.
- The thermostat may have reached the set temperature. The heater will cycle on and off to maintain the temperature.
- No heat, but fan is running:
- Ensure the Mode Selector knob is set to LOW HEAT or HIGH HEAT, not FAN ONLY.
- Adjust the thermostat to a higher setting.
