Setup
1. Charging the Mouse
Before first use, it is recommended to fully charge the mouse. Connect the provided USB-C to USB-A cable to the mouse's front USB-C port and the other end to a powered USB port on your computer or a USB wall adapter.

2. Connecting Wirelessly (2.4 GHz)
- Locate the USB receiver (dongle) included in the package.
- Plug the USB receiver into an available USB port on your computer.
- Turn on the mouse using the On/Off switch located on the bottom of the mouse. The mouse should automatically connect to the receiver.
3. Connecting Wired
You can also use the mouse in wired mode. Simply connect the USB-C to USB-A cable from the mouse to your computer's USB port. The mouse will function immediately and charge simultaneously.
4. Software Installation (Armoury Crate)
For full customization of your mouse, including button remapping, DPI settings, and RGB lighting effects, download and install the ASUS Armoury Crate software from the official ASUS support website. Visit www.asus.com/support/ for the latest version.
Operating the Mouse
Power On/Off
The power switch is located on the bottom of the mouse. Slide it to the 'ON' position to power on the mouse and to 'OFF' to power it down.
DPI Adjustment
The integrated DPI button allows you to quickly switch between four different sensitivity settings or three customized profiles. The Aura RGB illumination on the mouse will change color to indicate the current DPI setting, providing an instant visual cue. DPI levels can also be fine-tuned within the Armoury Crate software.
Programmable Buttons
The ROG Strix Impact II Wireless features five programmable buttons. These buttons can be configured via the Armoury Crate software to execute macros, favorite functions, or complex moves with a single click.
Battery Life
The mouse offers extended battery life: up to 89 hours with RGB lighting off, and up to 48 hours with RGB lighting on. Battery status can be monitored through the Armoury Crate software.
ASUS SmartHop Technology
This technology continuously scans the 2.4 GHz radio spectrum to identify and avoid congestion and interference. It allows the mouse to seamlessly switch between channels, ensuring a strong and stable connection even in environments with many wireless devices.
Exclusive Push-Fit Switch Socket Design
The unique push-fit switch sockets allow for easy replacement of the mouse switches. This provides flexibility to customize actuation force and feedback, and also extends the lifespan of the mouse by allowing replacement of worn or broken switches.
Aura Sync RGB Lighting
The mouse features customizable Aura RGB lighting in the logo and scroll wheel. Use Armoury Crate to select from a vast spectrum of colors and dynamic lighting effects. Up to three lighting profiles can be stored onboard the mouse.
Maintenance
Cleaning
To clean your mouse, use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water. Avoid using harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or solvents, as these can damage the mouse's surface or internal components. Regularly clean the optical sensor on the bottom of the mouse to ensure optimal tracking performance.
Battery Care
To maximize battery lifespan, avoid fully discharging the mouse frequently. Charge it when the battery indicator suggests low power. If storing the mouse for an extended period, charge it to about 50% before storage.
Switch Replacement
Thanks to the push-fit switch socket design, you can replace the mouse switches. Refer to the Armoury Crate software or ASUS support website for detailed instructions on how to safely replace the switches without damaging the mouse.
Troubleshooting
- Mouse not responding: Ensure the mouse is powered on. Check the USB receiver connection to your computer. If using wired mode, ensure the cable is securely connected. Try a different USB port.
- Intermittent connection/lag: Ensure the USB receiver is not too far from the mouse or obstructed by metal objects. Update mouse firmware via Armoury Crate. Ensure no other 2.4 GHz devices are causing significant interference.
