- Read all instructions before use.
- Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
- Use only on a level, dry, and heat-resistant surface.
- To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plug, or the appliance body in water or other liquid.
- Close supervision is necessary when the appliance is used by or near children.
- Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
- Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner. Contact customer support for examination, repair, or adjustment.
- The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may result in fire, electric shock, or injury.
- Do not use outdoors.
- Do not let cord touch hot surfaces or hang over the edge of a counter or table.
- Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
- Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
- Do not use the appliance for other than intended use.
- Always plug into a wall outlet. To disconnect, remove plug from wall outlet.
- The rice cooker should be operated on a separate electrical circuit from other operating appliances. If the electrical circuit is overloaded with other appliances, the appliance may not operate properly.
- Always make sure the outside of the inner pot is dry before use. If the inner pot is returned to the cooker when wet, it may damage or cause the product to malfunction.

Cooking Rice
The AROMA Select Stainless Rice Cooker simplifies rice preparation with its one-touch operation.
- Using the provided measuring cup, measure the desired amount of rice. Rinse rice thoroughly until the water runs clear.
- Place the rinsed rice into the stainless steel inner pot.
- Add the appropriate amount of water according to the water lines inside the inner pot or the White Rice Chart below. For example, for 3 cups of uncooked rice, fill water to line 3.
- Ensure the exterior of the inner pot is dry, then place it into the cooker body.
- Place the glass lid securely on top of the cooker.
- Plug the power cord into a 120V AC electrical outlet.
- Press the control lever down to the "Cook" position. The "Cook" indicator light will illuminate.
- Once cooking is complete, the cooker will automatically switch to the "Warm" mode, and the "Warm" indicator light will illuminate.
- For best results, allow rice to rest on "Warm" for 5-10 minutes before serving. This allows for further steaming and fluffier rice.

Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your rice cooker, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Rice is too hard or undercooked. | Not enough water; lid not sealed properly; power interrupted. | Ensure correct water-to-rice ratio. Check lid for proper placement. Verify power connection. |
| Rice is too soft or mushy. | Too much water; rice not rinsed. | Reduce water slightly next time. Rinse rice thoroughly before cooking. |
| Rice sticks to the bottom of the pot. | Not enough water; rice left on "Warm" for too long; not enough oil (optional). | Ensure correct water-to-rice ratio. Unplug cooker after rice is done if not serving immediately. Add a small amount of cooking oil to the inner pot before adding rice and water. |
| Cooker does not turn on. | Not plugged in; power outlet malfunction; internal issue. | Check power cord connection. Test outlet with another appliance. If issue persists, contact customer support. |
| Steam escapes excessively from lid. | Lid not seated correctly; inner pot overfilled. | Ensure lid is properly aligned and seated. Do not exceed maximum fill line for ingredients. |
