1. Introduction
This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation, installation, and maintenance of your Prostormer 1HP Submersible Sump Pump. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the pump and keep it for future reference.
2. Safety Information
Always prioritize safety when operating electrical equipment. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or serious injury.
- Ensure the power supply matches the pump's specifications (120V AC).
- Do not operate the pump with a damaged cord or plug.
- Never handle the pump or plug with wet hands.
- Always disconnect the power before performing any maintenance or cleaning.
- The pump is designed for clean/dirty water. Do not use it for flammable liquids, corrosive chemicals, or highly viscous fluids.
- Ensure the pump is fully submerged during operation to prevent overheating.
- When starting the pump, submerge it at a slight angle to allow trapped air to escape.
- This device is not suitable for continuous operation (e.g., as a recirculation pump for ponds). Continuous use will substantially shorten the pump's life expectancy.

- Multi-Outlet Sizes: Includes 1 inch, 1-1/4 inch, and 1-1/2 inch diameter outlets to adapt to different hose sizes based on flow rate requirements.
- Built-in Float Switch: Ensures stable pump operation and protects the float switch from external factors.
- Durable Construction: Features a durable thermoplastic body and sealing structure to prevent corrosion.
- Higher Base Plate: Designed to prevent debris collection in the sump pit.
4. Setup
Before initial use, ensure the pump is correctly set up.
- Attach Hose: Select the appropriate outlet adapter (1 inch, 1-1/4 inch, or 1-1/2 inch) for your hose and securely attach it to the pump's discharge port. The larger the hose diameter, the higher the flow rate.
- Position Pump: Place the pump in the area where water needs to be removed. Ensure it is on a stable, level surface. The pump's design allows it to sit directly on the ground without additional blocks, as it pulls water from side inlets.
- Submersion: When starting, submerge the pump into the water at a slight angle to allow any trapped air to escape from the system. This ensures proper priming and operation.
