3. Setup

3.1 Charging the Parent Unit

Before first use, charge the parent unit battery for at least 12 hours. Connect the small end of the AC adapter to the parent unit and the other end to a power outlet. The battery icon will indicate charging status.

3.2 Positioning the Camera Unit

Place the camera unit in a location that provides a clear view of the area you wish to monitor. Ensure it is out of reach of children. The camera offers a 110-degree wide-angle view and can be remotely panned, tilted, and zoomed for optimal coverage.

3.3 Powering On

  1. Connect the camera unit's AC adapter to the camera and a power outlet.
  2. Press and hold the POWER button on the parent unit until the screen turns on.
  3. The units will automatically link. If they do not link, refer to the Troubleshooting section.

3.4 Wall Mounting (Optional)

Use the provided wall mount bracket, screws, and wall anchors to securely attach the camera unit to a wall. Ensure the camera is positioned at a height that provides a good viewing angle and is safely out of reach.

4. Operating the Monitor

4.1 Parent Unit Controls

The parent unit features a 7-inch 720p HD display and various buttons for control:

  • MENU/SELECT: Access menu options and confirm selections.
  • ARROWS (Up/Down/Left/Right): Navigate menus, pan/tilt the camera.
  • ZOOM: Magnify the camera view (up to 4x digital zoom).
  • TALK: Activate two-way talk.
  • VOL +/-: Adjust speaker volume.

4.2 Pan, Tilt, and Zoom

Use the arrow buttons on the parent unit to remotely adjust the camera's viewing angle. The camera offers a 360-degree panoramic view, with 270 degrees side-to-side and 100 degrees up and down tilt. Press the ZOOM button to digitally zoom in or out of the image.

4.3 Two-Way Talk

Press and hold the TALK button on the parent unit to speak through the camera unit's speaker. Release the button to hear sound from the camera's location.

4.4 Night Vision

The camera automatically activates HD night vision in low-light conditions, providing a clear view of the monitored area. The system uses infrared technology for visibility up to 1 meter in darkness.

4.5 VOX (Sound Activation Mode)

The monitor features VOX control, which automatically activates the screen when sound is detected above a set sensitivity level. This helps conserve battery life. You can adjust the VOX sensitivity to three levels via the parent unit's menu.

4.6 Lullabies and Ambient Sounds

The monitor can play 5 calming melodies and 4 ambient sounds to soothe the monitored individual. Access these options through the parent unit's menu.

4.7 Temperature Alerts

The camera unit includes a temperature sensor. The parent unit can display the room temperature and alert you if it goes outside a preset range.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning

Clean the monitor units with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use cleaning sprays or liquid cleaners. Ensure the units are unplugged before cleaning.

5.2 Battery Care

The parent unit is equipped with a 5000 mAh rechargeable battery, providing up to 15 hours of video streaming. To prolong battery life, fully charge the unit before first use and avoid extreme temperatures. If the unit will not be used for an extended period, remove the battery.
