Setup
Battery Installation
To install the NiMH rechargeable battery pack:
- Ensure the radio is turned off.
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the radio.
- Lift the latch and remove the cover.
- Insert the NiMH battery pack according to the polarity markings inside the compartment.
- Replace the battery compartment cover and press firmly until the latch clicks into place.
Alternatively, you can use 3 AA alkaline batteries (not included) for power.
Charging Your Radios
Use the provided USB charger to charge your T475 radios. The charger has dual charging ports, allowing both radios to be charged simultaneously.
- Connect the USB charger to a power outlet.
- Plug the micro-USB connectors into the charging ports located at the bottom of each radio.
- The battery indicator on the radio's display will show charging status.
- A full charge typically takes approximately 8-10 hours for depleted batteries.

Operating Your Radio
Power On/Off
To turn the radio on or off, rotate the On/Off/Volume knob clockwise or counter-clockwise until you hear a click.
Channel and Privacy Code Selection
Your T475 radio has 22 channels and 121 privacy codes, offering 2,662 combinations to ensure clear communication.
- Press the Menu button to enter channel selection mode.
- Use the Up/Down buttons to select your desired channel (1-22).
- Press Menu again to enter privacy code selection mode.
- Use the Up/Down buttons to select your desired privacy code (1-121).
- Press the PTT (Push-To-Talk) button to confirm your selection and exit Menu mode.
Easy Pairing
The Easy Pairing feature allows you to quickly program all radios in your group to the same channel and privacy code.
- On any one radio, press and hold the Easy Pairing button until you hear a tone.
- On all other radios you wish to pair, press and hold the Easy Pairing button until you hear a tone.
- All radios will automatically synchronize to the same channel and privacy code.
Built-in Flashlight
To activate the built-in LED flashlight, press the dedicated flashlight button located on the top of the radio. Press it again to turn it off.

NOAA Weather Radio & Alerts
The T475 radios can receive NOAA Weather Radio broadcasts, providing real-time weather information and emergency alerts.
- Press the Menu button until the weather channel icon appears.
- Use the Up/Down buttons to select a NOAA weather channel.
- To enable weather alerts, press the Menu button until the weather alert icon flashes, then use Up/Down to turn alerts On/Off.
VibraCall Alert
The VibraCall feature provides a silent vibrating alert, useful in situations where audible tones might be disruptive.
- Press the Menu button until the VibraCall icon appears.
- Use the Up/Down buttons to turn VibraCall On/Off.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Clean the radio with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use cleaning agents or solvents.
- Storage: Store the radio in a cool, dry place when not in use. Remove batteries if storing for extended periods.
- Battery Care: To maximize battery life, fully charge batteries before first use and after long periods of inactivity. Avoid overcharging.
- Water Exposure: While IPx4 rated, avoid submerging the radio in water. If exposed to water, wipe dry immediately.
