4. Setup and Bit Installation

  1. Selecting a Bit:
    • The screwdriver comes with bits stored within the handle. To access them, pull the shaft out from the handle.
    • The first double-ended bit (Slotted 8-10 / Phillips #2) is located at the end of the shaft.
    • To find the second double-ended bit (Torx T25 / Square #2) and the single-ended Phillips #1 bit, remove the first double-ended bit and then pull out the inner sleeve from the shaft.
    • Choose the appropriate bit for your task. If using a double-ended bit, ensure the desired tip is exposed.
  2. Inserting the Bit: Insert the chosen bit firmly into the magnetic tip of the screwdriver shaft. The magnetic tip will hold the bit securely.
  3. Reassembling the Screwdriver: Once the bit is installed, reinsert the shaft into the handle until it clicks into place.

5. Operating Instructions

  1. Adjusting the Ratchet: Locate the ratcheting selector switch on the screwdriver handle.
    • Move the switch to the left for clockwise (tightening) rotation.
    • Move the switch to the right for counter-clockwise (loosening) rotation.
    • Position the switch in the center for a locked, non-ratcheting operation.
  2. Using the Screwdriver:
    • Place the selected bit into the head of the fastener.
    • Apply firm, steady pressure to the handle while turning. The ratcheting mechanism will allow the handle to turn freely in one direction while engaging the bit in the other, reducing the need to reposition your grip.
    • Ensure the bit is fully seated in the fastener head to prevent stripping.
  3. Using as a Nut Driver:
    • To use the integrated nut drivers, remove the bit from the shaft.
    • The shaft itself has three different sized openings that function as 1/4'', 5/16'', and 3/8'' nut drivers.
    • Select the appropriate opening and place it over the nut or bolt head.
    • Turn the handle to tighten or loosen the fastener, utilizing the ratcheting function as needed.
