2. Safety Information

Read all safety warnings and instructions carefully before operating the compressor. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, serious injury, or property damage.

  • Temperature Monitoring: Do not allow the compressor temperature to exceed 85°C (185°F). The maximum continuous running time is 45 minutes. Allow the unit to cool completely between extended uses.
  • Oil Level: Before operation, ensure the breathing rod is installed and the oil cap is replaced. Add oil to the level of the red dot on the oil sight glass. Use recommended compressor oil (silicone oil is not included and must be prepared by the user).
  • Pressure Limit: The maximum filling pressure must not exceed 300 Bar (4500 PSI / 30 MPa). The auto-shutoff feature will activate at the set pressure, but continuous monitoring is recommended.
  • Hose and Filter Connections: Verify that all connections, especially the blue filter and filling hose, are securely assembled and free of leaks before starting the compressor.
  • Ventilation: Operate the compressor in a well-ventilated area to prevent overheating and ensure proper air intake.
  • Moisture and Impurities: The built-in filtration system helps ensure clean air. Regularly check and drain any accumulated moisture or oil from the system.
  • Electrical Safety: Ensure the power source matches the compressor's voltage requirements (110 Volts). Do not operate with damaged cords or plugs.
  • Personal Protective Equipment: Always wear appropriate safety glasses and hearing protection when operating the compressor.

3. Product Features

The TUXING 4500Psi PCP Air Compressor is engineered with several key features for optimal performance and user convenience:

  • Two-Stage Compression: Equipped with high-pressure and low-pressure cylinders, this compressor utilizes two-stage compression technology for rapid and efficient tank filling. For example, a 6.8L air tank can be filled in approximately 25 minutes.
  • Adjustable Pressure with Auto Shutoff: Users can set a desired pressure level, and the compressor will automatically shut off once that pressure is reached, preventing over-pressurization and enhancing safety.
  • Built-In Two-Stage Filtration: A two-stage filtration system is integrated to ensure the produced air is clean and free of impurities, making it suitable for applications requiring high air purity, such as diving.
  • Dual Cooling System: To prevent overheating during extended operation, the compressor features a built-in water tank and a dual cooling system (water-cooled and air-cooled). This design eliminates the need for external water buckets and contributes to the compressor's longevity.
  • Versatile Application: This compressor is designed for a wide range of high-pressure air applications, including PCP air rifles, paintball guns, diving tanks, and firefighting equipment.

4. Setup

Follow these steps for initial setup before first use:

  1. Unpacking and Inspection: Carefully remove the compressor from its packaging. Inspect the outer packaging and the machine for any signs of damage during transit. Report any damage to the supplier immediately.
  2. Install Breathing Rod: Locate the oil cap and replace it with the provided breathing rod. This is crucial for proper ventilation during operation.
  3. Add Oil: Add compressor oil (e.g., Royal Purple compressor oil, not included) to the crankcase until the level reaches the red dot on the oil sight glass. Do not overfill. If overfilled, loosen and remove the oil drain bolt to release excess.
  4. Connect Filter and Hose: Ensure the blue filter and filling hose are securely assembled and connected to the compressor's air outlet. Verify there are no leaks at the connections.
  5. Prepare Cooling System: The compressor features a built-in water tank. Fill this tank with water as per the instructions. No external water buckets are needed.
  6. Power Connection: Connect the power cord to a suitable 110 Volt AC power source.

5. Operating Instructions

Follow these guidelines for safe and effective operation of your TUXING air compressor:

  1. Initial Break-in (First Use): For the first use, run the compressor without connecting it to a tank or rifle for approximately 5 minutes to allow for proper break-in. Ensure the unit cools completely afterward.
  2. Connect Tank/Device: Securely connect the device or tank you wish to fill to the compressor's filling hose. Ensure all connections are tight to prevent leaks.
  3. Set Desired Pressure: Use the adjustable pressure settings to set your target pressure. The compressor will automatically shut off when this pressure is reached. The maximum recommended filling pressure is 4500 PSI (300 Bar).
  4. Start Compressor: Turn on the compressor. Monitor the pressure gauge and the temperature gauge during operation.
  5. Monitor Temperature: Keep the compressor temperature below 85°C (185°F). If the temperature approaches this limit, turn off the compressor and allow it to cool down before resuming operation. Do not exceed 45 minutes of continuous operation.
  6. Filling Time: Filling times will vary based on the tank size and desired pressure. For example, a 6.8L air tank can be filled from empty to full in about 25 minutes.
  7. After Filling: Once the desired pressure is reached and the compressor has shut off, close the valve on your tank/device. Slowly release any residual pressure in the hose before disconnecting.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your compressor:

  • Oil Change: Change the compressor oil after the first 25 hours of use. Refer to the oil sight glass for proper level.
  • Drain Moisture/Oil: The small built-in oil/water separator will exhaust some water and oil when you bleed the fill line. This is normal. Regularly bleed the system to remove moisture and oil.
  • Filter Maintenance: The compressor includes a filter along with the filling hose to ensure good air quality. Inspect and replace filters as needed to maintain air purity.
  • Check for Leaks: Periodically inspect all hoses and connections for any signs of leaks. Address any leaks promptly to maintain pressure and prevent damage.
  • Cooling System Check: Ensure the built-in water tank is adequately filled and the cooling system is functioning correctly.

7. Troubleshooting

This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your compressor:

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Compressor not startingNo power, motor seized, cooling system issue.Check power connection. Ensure cooling system switch is on. If motor is seized, contact support.
Slow filling / Low pressureLeaks in connections, clogged filter, insufficient oil.Check all hose connections for leaks. Inspect and replace air filter. Verify oil level.
Overheating (temperature exceeds 85°C)Insufficient cooling water, blocked airflow to fans, prolonged operation.Ensure water tank is full. Check fans for obstructions. Turn off compressor and allow to cool. Do not exceed 45 minutes continuous run time.
Oil leakageLoose connections, damaged seals/gaskets, overfilling oil.Check and tighten all oil-related connections. Verify oil level is not above the red dot. If seals are damaged, contact support for spare parts.
Burst disk popsOver-pressurization, faulty burst disk.Ensure auto-shutoff is set correctly and functioning. Replace burst disk with a new one (spares are available). Do not exceed 4500 PSI.
