Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to assemble and prepare your Dcorn Digital Microscope for use:

1. Assemble the Stand: Securely attach the microscope stand components. Ensure all screws are tightened for stability.
2. Mount the Microscope Unit: Carefully slide the microscope unit onto the stand's adjustable arm. Tighten the securing knob to hold it in place.
3. Connect Side Lights: Insert the flexible side lights into their designated ports on the base. Adjust their position to provide optimal illumination for your observation area.
4. Connect Wired Remote: Plug the wired remote control cable into the base unit. This remote allows for convenient control of lighting and other functions.

Magnification and Focus

The microscope offers 10X-1200X magnification. Adjust the focus wheel on the side of the microscope unit to achieve a clear image on the 7-inch HD LCD display. The actual magnification may vary based on the distance between the lens and the object, and the size of the screen used.

Lighting Adjustment

The microscope is equipped with 8 built-in adjustable LED lights and 2 additional adjustable side lights. To turn on the additional lights, first connect the remote control cable to the base, and then rotate the rotating wheel on the base. Adjust the brightness using the controls on the unit or the wired remote to ensure optimal illumination for your specimen.

Photo and Video Functions

The Dcorn Digital Microscope allows you to capture high-quality images (up to 12MP) and record videos (up to 1080FHD). Use the dedicated buttons on the unit or the wired remote to switch between modes and initiate recording or photo capture. Photos and videos can be saved to a memory card (TF card, not included, supports up to 64GB).

Connecting to PC

For a larger view and enhanced functionality, you can connect your Dcorn Digital Microscope to a Windows or Mac computer.

1. Connect via USB: Use the provided USB cable to connect the microscope to your computer.
2. Select "PC Camera" Mode: On the microscope's display, navigate to the menu and select "PC Camera" mode.
3. Access on Windows (Win10):
   • Open the default "Windows Camera" application. The microscope's feed should appear automatically.
   • Optional Software: AMCap (demo version available online, paid version for full features).
   • Software on CD: The included CD contains amcap v3.0.9. Note: This version supports video recording but not camera function. If your computer lacks a CD drive, please contact support.
4. Access on Mac:
   • Open the default "Photo Booth" application. The microscope's feed should appear automatically.

Maintenance

Proper care and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your microscope.

• Cleaning the Lens: Use a soft, lint-free cloth specifically designed for optical lenses to gently wipe the microscope lens. Avoid abrasive materials or harsh chemicals.
• Cleaning the Body: Wipe the main body and stand with a dry or slightly damp soft cloth. Do not use solvents or strong detergents.
• Storage: When not in use, store the microscope in a clean, dry, and dust-free environment. Protect it from extreme temperatures and humidity.
• Battery Care: The microscope includes a Lithium Polymer battery. For optimal battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently and store it with a partial charge if not used for extended periods.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Dcorn Digital Microscope, please refer to the following common solutions:

• No Image on Display:
  • Ensure the microscope is powered on and fully charged or connected to a power source.
  • Check all cable connections, especially the power cable.
  • Adjust the focus wheel to bring the image into view.
• Image is Blurry:
  • Adjust the focus wheel slowly until the image is sharp.
  • Ensure the object is within the optimal working distance of the lens.
  • Clean the lens if there are smudges or dust.
• Lights Not Working:
