1. Introduction

2. Important Safety Instructions

Please read all instructions carefully before using this electric heated throw. Failure to follow these instructions may result in fire, electric shock, or injury.

• Do not use with infants, children, incapacitated persons, or any person insensitive to heat.
• Do not use if the heated throw is wet.
• Do not use with pets.
• Do not use if the heated throw is folded, bunched, or crumpled. This can cause overheating.
• Inspect the heated throw, cord, and controller regularly for any signs of wear or damage. If damaged, discontinue use immediately.
• Always unplug the heated throw from the power outlet when not in use.
• Do not immerse the cords, power supply, or control unit in water or any other liquid.

3. Setup

1. Unpack the heated throw and lay it flat on a bed, couch, or other desired surface.

4. Plug the power cord into a standard 120V AC electrical outlet.

4. Operating Instructions

The Brookstone Luxurious Electric Heated Throw features a user-friendly one-touch built-in remote for easy operation.

1. Power On/Off: Press the power button on the built-in remote to turn the heated throw on or off.
2. Adjust Heat Settings: Once powered on, press the heat setting button to cycle through the four available heat levels (Low, Medium, High, and Max). Indicator lights on the remote will show the selected heat level.
3. Auto Shut-Off: For your safety and energy conservation, the heated throw is equipped with a 4-hour automatic shut-off feature. After approximately 4 hours of continuous use, the throw will automatically turn off. To resume heating, simply press the power button again.

5. Care and Maintenance

• Before Washing: Always unplug the power cord from the heated throw and the wall outlet. Ensure the cord and controller are completely detached from the blanket.

• Storage: When not in use, store the heated throw in a cool, dry place. Avoid folding it tightly or placing heavy objects on it, which could damage the internal wiring.

6. Troubleshooting

If your heated throw is not functioning as expected, please refer to the following common issues:

• No Heat/No Power:
  • Ensure the power cord is securely connected to both the heated throw and the wall outlet.
  • Verify that the wall outlet is functional by plugging in another appliance.
  • Check for any visible damage to the cord or controller. If damaged, do not use.
• Inconsistent Heating:
  • Ensure the blanket is laid flat and not folded or bunched, which can prevent even heat distribution.
  • Allow a few minutes for the blanket to reach the desired temperature after selecting a heat setting.
• Automatic Shut-Off Before 4 Hours:
  • The auto shut-off is a safety feature. If it occurs unexpectedly, ensure the blanket is not folded or covered in a way that could cause localized overheating.
  • Unplug the unit for 5 minutes, then reconnect and try again.
