3. Setup & Installation
3.1 Initial Charging
Before first use, fully charge the doorbell camera using the provided charging cable. A green indicator light will typically show when fully charged.
3.2 Mounting the Doorbell
The WUUK Smart Video Doorbell offers two installation methods: adhesive tape or screw-on. Choose the method best suited for your door surface.
- Adhesive Tape: Peel off the red foil from the 3M VHB tape on the backplate and firmly press it onto your desired location. Allow 24 hours for the adhesive to set before attaching the doorbell.
- Screw-on: Use the locating pad to mark drill holes. For masonry surfaces (brick, concrete), use a 6mm drill bit for anchors. Secure the backplate with the provided screws.
3.3 Wiring (Optional)
If you are using existing doorbell wiring (8-24V AC), connect the wires to the terminals on the back of the doorbell. Ensure power is off before handling wires. If your existing wires are too short, use the provided wire extenders and wire nuts.
3.4 App Setup & Pairing
Download the WUUK app from your device's app store. Create an account and follow the on-screen prompts to pair your chime and doorbell.
- Connect to 2.4GHz WiFi: Ensure your phone is connected to a 2.4GHz WiFi network, as 5GHz networks are not currently supported.
- Pair Chime: Plug the chime into a power outlet. Once it says "System Ready", long-press the 'SET' button for 3 seconds until you hear "Ready to pair".
- Pair Doorbell: Power on the doorbell. When prompted, scan the QR code displayed in the app with your doorbell camera.

4.1 Live View and Two-Way Audio
Access the live 1080p HD video feed from your smartphone via the WUUK app. Engage in two-way conversations with visitors at your door, or use quick replies when busy.
4.2 Motion Detection & Night Vision
The doorbell features PIR human detection, sending instant notifications to your phone upon detecting motion. Its night vision capabilities ensure clear monitoring even in low-light conditions.
4.3 Storage Options
The doorbell supports local storage via an SD card (not included) inserted into the chime, or free 48-hour cloud storage for recorded events.
4.4 Alexa Compatibility
The WUUK Smart Video Doorbell is fully compatible with Alexa devices. Use voice commands like "Alexa, show me the door" to view a live feed on your Echo Show.

5.1 Battery Management
The doorbell is equipped with a 6700 mAh rechargeable battery. Battery life can vary based on usage, motion detection frequency, and live view access. Recharge as needed using the provided charging cable.
5.2 Cleaning
Wipe the camera lens and doorbell surface with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust and debris. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
