Safety Instructions
- Do not disassemble or modify the product. Unauthorized modifications may cause damage or injury.
- Keep the product away from fire or high temperatures to prevent battery explosion or leakage.
- Ensure the solar panel is exposed to direct sunlight for optimal charging performance. Avoid shaded areas.
- Clean the solar panel regularly to remove dust and debris, which can affect charging efficiency.
- Do not stare directly into the LED lights when they are on, as this may cause eye strain or damage.
- Install the light at the recommended height (6-10 feet) for optimal motion detection and illumination coverage.
Setup
Before initial use, ensure the solar light is fully charged. Place the light in direct sunlight for 6-10 hours. The light has a protective film on the LED panels; remove this film before use.
Selecting a Location
Choose a location where the solar panel can receive direct sunlight for at least 6-8 hours daily. Avoid areas under trees, eaves, or other obstructions that may block sunlight. The recommended installation height is 6-10 feet (1.8-3 meters) above the ground for optimal motion detection and light coverage.

Operating Modes
The Onforu Solar Motion Sensor Light features three distinct operating modes, selectable via a switch located on the back of the unit. Ensure the switch is protected from moisture by its cover.

Image: Diagram illustrating the three lighting modes of the Onforu Solar Motion Sensor Light, showing how brightness changes with motion detection.
- Mode 1 (Dim Light Sensor Mode): The light stays on at 5% brightness. When motion is detected, it switches to 100% brightness. After motion ceases, it returns to 5% brightness.
- Mode 2 (Sensor Mode): The light remains off. When motion is detected, it turns on to 100% brightness. After approximately 20 seconds of no motion, it turns off automatically.
- Mode 3 (Medium Light Mode): The light stays on at 20% brightness throughout the night, regardless of motion detection.
To select a mode, use the switch on the back of the unit. The switch is protected by a rubber cover to ensure IP65 waterproofing.
Installation
The Onforu Solar Motion Sensor Light is designed for easy wall mounting. Follow these steps for installation:
- Prepare the Mounting Surface: Choose a sturdy wall or surface that can support the light. Ensure the chosen location allows the solar panel to receive maximum direct sunlight.
- Mark Drill Holes: Use the provided mounting bracket as a template to mark the positions for drilling holes. The bracket has three screw holes.
- Drill Holes: Drill holes at the marked positions. If installing on masonry or concrete, insert the provided wall plugs into the drilled holes.
- Attach Mounting Bracket: Secure the mounting bracket to the wall using the provided screws.
- Attach the Light: Slide the solar motion sensor light onto the mounted bracket. The light is designed to securely clip into place.
- Adjust Light Heads: Adjust the three rotatable light heads and the solar panel to your desired angles for optimal illumination and solar charging. The heads offer 360° rotation.

Maintenance
- Cleaning: Regularly wipe the solar panel with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust, dirt, or debris. A clean solar panel ensures efficient charging.
- Inspection: Periodically check the mounting screws and bracket to ensure the light remains securely attached.
- Environmental Protection: The IP65 waterproof rating protects against rain, sleet, and snow. However, avoid submerging the unit in water.

Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Light does not turn on at night. | Insufficient solar charge. | Ensure the solar panel receives 6-10 hours of direct sunlight daily. Clean the solar panel. |
| Motion sensor not detecting. | Incorrect installation height or angle; obstructions. | Install at 6-10 feet height. Adjust the sensor angle. Remove any obstructions in the detection path. |
| Light is dim or short-lived. | Low battery charge; cold weather. | Allow more charging time. Battery performance may be reduced in extreme cold. |
| Light stays on constantly. | Light mode setting; continuous motion. | Check the selected operating mode. Ensure there is no continuous motion within the sensor's range. |
