2. Important Safety Instructions

To ensure safe operation and prevent damage, please observe the following safety precautions:

  • Power Source: Connect the TV only to the specified power supply (110V AC). Ensure the power cord is not damaged or pinched.
  • Ventilation: Do not block ventilation openings. Allow adequate space around the TV for proper airflow to prevent overheating.
  • Water and Moisture: Do not expose the TV to rain, moisture, or place objects filled with liquids on or near the unit.

4. Setup

4.1 Attaching the TV Stand

  1. Carefully place the TV face down on a soft, clean surface to prevent screen damage.
  2. Align each stand piece with the corresponding slots on the bottom of the TV.
  3. Secure each stand piece with the provided screws using a Phillips head screwdriver. Do not overtighten.

4.2 Connecting Devices

  • Antenna/Cable: Connect an antenna or cable TV coaxial cable to the 'ANT/CABLE IN' port.
  • HDMI Devices: Connect devices like Blu-ray players, game consoles, or set-top boxes to the HDMI ports using an HDMI cable.
  • USB Devices: Insert a USB flash drive into the USB port to play compatible media files.
  • VGA/PC Audio: Connect a computer to the VGA port for video and the PC Audio port for audio.
  • Component Video: Use the YPbPr ports for component video input.
  • Audio Out: Use the 'AUDIO OUT' (RCA) or 'OPTICAL' port to connect to an external audio system.

4.3 Initial Power On

  1. After all connections are made, plug the power cord into a wall outlet.
  2. Press the POWER button on the remote control or on the side of the TV.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions for initial setup, including language selection and channel scanning.

5. Operating the TV

5.1 Basic TV Functions

  • Power On/Off: Press the POWER button on the remote or the side panel.
  • Volume Control: Use the VOL + and VOL - buttons.
  • Channel Selection: Use the CH + and CH - buttons or the number pad.
  • Mute: Press the MUTE button to silence the audio.

5.2 Input Source Selection

To switch between connected devices (TV, HDMI, AV, USB, DVD), press the SOURCE button on the remote control or the side panel. Use the arrow buttons to navigate and ENTER to confirm your selection.

5.3 Remote Control Guide

The remote control provides full functionality for your TV and built-in DVD player. Familiarize yourself with its layout:

  • Power (Red Button): Turns the TV on or off.
  • Mute (Green Button): Mutes or unmutes the sound.
  • Number Buttons (0-9): Directly select channels or input numbers.
  • VOL +/-: Adjusts volume level.
  • CH +/-: Changes channels.
  • SOURCE: Selects input source (TV, HDMI, AV, USB, DVD).

5.4 On-Screen Menu Navigation

Press the MENU button to access the TV's settings. Use the arrow buttons to navigate through options like Picture, Sound, Channel, Time, Setup, and Lock. Press ENTER to select an option and adjust settings. Press EXIT to leave the menu.

5.5 DVD Player Operation

  1. Inserting a DVD: Gently insert a DVD disc into the slot on the right side of the TV with the label facing forward. The TV will automatically switch to DVD mode or prompt you to select it.
  2. Playback: The DVD should begin playing automatically. If not, use the DVD control buttons on the remote (Play, Pause, Stop).
  3. Ejecting a DVD: Press the EJECT button on the remote control or the TV's side panel.

5.6 Using USB Media

To play media from a USB drive:

  1. Insert a USB flash drive into the USB port on the side of the TV.
  2. Press the SOURCE button and select 'USB'.
  3. Navigate through the folders and files using the arrow buttons and press ENTER to play your desired media (photos, music, videos).
