4. Setup

4.1 Battery Installation

1. Turn the scale over to access the battery compartment on the underside.
2. Open the battery compartment cover.
3. Insert three (3) 1.5V AAA alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

4.2 App Installation

To utilize the full features of your Laica PS7005 scale, including body composition analysis and data tracking, download the "Laica Home Wellness" app on your smartphone.

• For iOS devices: Search for "Laica Home Wellness" in the Apple App Store. Requires iOS 10 or later.
• For Android devices: Search for "Laica Home Wellness" in the Google Play Store. Requires Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) or later.

Install the app and create your user profile as prompted.

4.3 Bluetooth Pairing

1. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone.
2. Open the "Laica Home Wellness" app.
3. Follow the in-app instructions to add a new device or connect your scale. You may need to step on the scale briefly to activate it and make it discoverable.
4. The app will guide you through the pairing process. Once connected, your measurements will automatically sync.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Taking a Measurement

1. Place the scale on a hard, flat surface. Avoid carpets or uneven floors.
2. Ensure your feet are clean and dry.
3. Step onto the scale barefoot, placing your feet on the metal electrodes. Stand still until your weight is displayed and stabilized.
4. The scale will then perform the body composition analysis. This process may take a few seconds.
5. Your weight will be displayed on the scale's LCD screen. If connected via Bluetooth, the full body composition data will be sent to the "Laica Home Wellness" app on your smartphone.

5.2 Important Measurement Tips

• For consistent results, take measurements at the same time of day, preferably in the morning before breakfast or exercise.
• Avoid taking measurements immediately after intense exercise, showering, or consuming large amounts of food or drink.
• Ensure your feet make good contact with all four metal electrodes for accurate body composition readings.
