Unpacking

Carefully remove all packaging materials, including the foam base and adhesive tape. Inspect the freezer for any shipping damage. Keep packaging materials until you are satisfied with the product's operation.

Placement

Leveling

The freezer has adjustable leveling legs. Turn the legs clockwise to raise the freezer or counter-clockwise to lower it. Ensure the freezer is level to prevent vibrations and ensure proper door sealing.

Reversible Door Installation

The door can be reversed to open from either the left or right side, depending on your space requirements. This process involves removing the top hinge, transferring the door, and reattaching the hinges on the opposite side. Refer to the detailed diagrams in the full manual for step-by-step instructions.

Power Connection

Plug the freezer into a dedicated 115 Volt, 60 Hz, 15 Amp grounded electrical outlet. Do not use a power strip or extension cord. Allow the freezer to stand upright for at least 2-4 hours before plugging it in to allow refrigerants to settle.

4. Operation

Temperature Control

The freezer is equipped with an adjustable thermostat located inside the unit. The temperature control dial has settings from 1 (warmest) to 6 (coldest).

Adjust the dial to your desired setting. Allow several hours for the temperature to stabilize after adjustment.

This freezer features manual defrost. Frost buildup is normal and should be removed periodically to maintain efficiency. Refer to the Maintenance section for detailed defrosting instructions.

5. Maintenance

Cleaning Your Freezer

Defrosting Procedure

Defrost the freezer when frost buildup reaches approximately 1/4 inch (6 mm) thick. Excessive frost reduces cooling efficiency.

  1. Prepare: Remove all food items and store them in another freezer or cooler.
  2. Unplug: Disconnect the freezer from the power outlet.
  3. Open Door: Leave the freezer door open to allow frost to melt naturally. You can place towels on the floor to absorb water.
  4. Accelerate (Optional): Place bowls of hot water inside the freezer to speed up melting. Do NOT use sharp objects or heating devices (e.g., hair dryer) to remove frost, as this can damage the cooling system.
  5. Clean and Dry: Once all frost has melted, clean and thoroughly dry the interior.
  6. Restart: Plug the freezer back in and allow it to cool down for a few hours before returning food items.
