4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Adjusting Seat and Handlebars
- Seat Height: Loosen the adjustment knob on the seat post. Raise or lower the seat until your leg has a slight bend at the knee when the pedal is at its lowest point. Tighten the knob securely.
- Handlebar Position: Loosen the adjustment knob on the handlebar post. Adjust the handlebars to a comfortable height and distance. Ensure you can reach them without straining. Tighten the knob securely.
4.2 Using the Magnetic Resistance
The ACRA BC1204 features a magnetic resistance system. The resistance level is controlled by a tension knob, usually located below the handlebars or on the main frame.
- Increase Resistance: Turn the tension knob clockwise.
- Decrease Resistance: Turn the tension knob counter-clockwise.
Start with a low resistance level and gradually increase it as your fitness improves. Always ensure the knob is firmly set to prevent accidental changes during your workout.
4.3 Using the Console/Monitor
The console displays various workout metrics. It is battery-powered.
- Power On/Off: The console typically turns on automatically when you start pedaling or press any button. It will turn off after a few minutes of inactivity.
- Mode Button: Press the "MODE" button to cycle through different display functions such as Time, Speed, Distance, Calories, and Odometer.
- Reset Button: Press and hold the "RESET" button (if available) to clear current workout data.
- Battery Replacement: If the display becomes dim or unresponsive, replace the batteries (usually 2x AAA, located at the back of the console).

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your exercise bike.
- Cleaning: Wipe down the bike with a damp cloth after each use to remove sweat and dust. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Lubrication: The magnetic resistance system is generally maintenance-free. However, periodically check for any squeaking noises from moving parts (e.g., pedal axles) and apply a small amount of silicone-based lubricant if necessary.
- Hardware Check: Periodically check all nuts, bolts, and screws to ensure they are tight. Retighten as needed.
- Storage: Store the exercise bike in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
