Setup

1. Power Connection

1. Plug the AC adapter into the DC IN jack located on the back of the unit.
2. Plug the other end of the AC adapter into a standard 120V AC wall outlet.
3. The unit is now powered on.

2. Battery Backup Installation

The JCR-255 requires 1 Lithium Metal battery (included) for backup power. This feature saves your time and alarm settings during a power outage.

1. Locate the battery compartment on the bottom of the unit.
2. Open the battery compartment cover.
3. Insert the Lithium Metal battery, ensuring correct polarity (+ and -).
4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

3. Setting the Time

1. Press and hold the TIME SET button until the display flashes.
2. Use the HOUR and MINUTE buttons to adjust the time.
3. Press TIME SET again to confirm and exit time setting mode.

Operating Instructions

1. Radio Operation (AM/FM)

1. Press the RADIO ON/OFF button to turn on the radio.
2. Press the AM/FM button to select the desired band.
3. Use the TUNE + or TUNE - buttons to manually tune to a station.
4. To auto-scan for stations, press and hold TUNE + or TUNE -.
5. Adjust the volume using the VOLUME + or VOLUME - buttons.

Setting Radio Presets:

• Tune to the desired station.
• Press the MEMORY button. The preset number will flash.
• Use the PRESET + or PRESET - buttons to select a preset number (1-10 for AM, 1-10 for FM).
• Press MEMORY again to save the station.
• To recall a preset, press the PRESET + or PRESET - buttons while the radio is on.

2. Setting Alarms (Alarm 1 & Alarm 2)

The JCR-255 features dual alarms. You can set each alarm to wake you with a buzzer, radio, or the under-pillow vibrator.

1. Press and hold ALARM 1 SET or ALARM 2 SET until the alarm time flashes.
2. Use the HOUR and MINUTE buttons to set the desired alarm time.
3. Press ALARM 1 SET or ALARM 2 SET again to select the wake mode (Buzzer, Radio, or Vibrator). The corresponding icon will light up.
4. Press ALARM 1 SET or ALARM 2 SET one more time to confirm and exit alarm setting mode.
5. To activate/deactivate an alarm, press the corresponding ALARM 1 ON/OFF or ALARM 2 ON/OFF button.

3. Snooze Function

When an alarm sounds, press the SNOOZE button to temporarily silence the alarm for approximately 9 minutes. The alarm will sound again after the snooze period.

4. Sleep Timer

The sleep timer allows you to fall asleep to the radio, which will automatically turn off after a set period.

1. While the radio is playing, press the SLEEP button repeatedly to cycle through available sleep times (e.g., 90, 60, 30, 15 minutes, OFF).
2. The radio will play for the selected duration and then turn off automatically.

5. USB Charging Port

The JCR-255 features a front-mounted 2 Amp USB port for charging compatible devices.

1. Connect your smartphone or other USB-powered device to the USB port using a compatible USB cable (not included).
2. The device will begin charging.
3. Note: This port is for charging only and does not support data transfer.

Maintenance

Cleaning the Unit

• Disconnect the unit from the power source before cleaning.
• Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe the exterior surfaces.
• Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the finish.
