5. Setup

1. Power Connection: Connect the supplied AC power adapter to the DC input jack on the back of the unit. Plug the adapter into a working wall outlet. The unit will power on and the clock display will illuminate.
2. Setting the Clock: Refer to the controls on the top panel for time setting buttons. Typically, a 'Time Set' button is pressed and held, then '+' or '-' buttons are used to adjust hours and minutes.
3. Bluetooth Pairing: Press the Bluetooth pairing button on the unit. The Bluetooth indicator will flash. On your mobile device, enable Bluetooth and select 'iHome IUVBT1' from the list of available devices. Once paired, the indicator will glow solid.
4. USB Charging: The unit features a USB charging port on the back. Connect your device's USB charging cable to this port to charge your device.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. UV-C Sanitization

The iHome IUVBT1 utilizes UV-C light to sanitize items. The sanitization cycle duration is typically 3 minutes, as indicated by the device.

1. Open the lid of the sanitization compartment.
2. Place your items (e.g., smartphone, keys, glasses, face mask) inside the compartment. Ensure items are not overlapping excessively to allow for maximum UV-C exposure.
3. Close the lid securely. The device will automatically begin a 3-minute sanitization cycle. The display may show a countdown.
4. Once the cycle is complete, the device will indicate completion (e.g., 'End' on the display or an audible alert). You may then open the lid and remove your sanitized items.

6.2. Bluetooth Speaker Function

After pairing your device (as described in Section 5.3), you can stream audio wirelessly to the iHome IUVBT1.

• Ensure your device is paired and connected to the iHome IUVBT1.
• Play audio from your connected device. The sound will output through the iHome IUVBT1 speaker.
• Use the volume controls on the unit or your connected device to adjust the audio level.

6.3. Alarm Clock Function

The iHome IUVBT1 includes a fully featured alarm clock with an auto-dimming clock sensor.

• Setting the Alarm: Press and hold the 'Alarm Set' button (if available, or refer to the specific button layout on your unit). Use the '+' or '-' buttons to set the desired alarm time. Press 'Alarm Set' again to confirm.
