ANCHEER electric bike control panel and riding modes

Image 4.1: The control panel on the ANCHEER electric bike handlebar, illustrating the three cycling modes: regular pedaling, pedal-assist, and electric throttle. It also shows the LED indicators for pedal-assist levels, battery indicator, power on/off button, and assistance level adjustment buttons.

Riding Modes:

  1. Regular Pedaling: With the power off, the bike functions as a traditional bicycle.
  2. Pedal-Assist Mode (PAS): Turn on the power. The motor provides assistance as you pedal. Use the '+' and '-' buttons on the display to adjust the assistance level (low, mid, high).
  3. Electric Throttle Mode: If a throttle is installed, twist it gently to engage the motor without pedaling. This mode provides full electric power.

Display and Controls:

  • Power On/Off: Press and hold the power button on the display to turn the system on or off.
  • Assistance Level: Use the '+' and '-' buttons to cycle through low, mid, and high pedal-assist levels.
  • Battery Indicator: The display shows the approximate battery charge level.

Gear Shifting:

The bike is equipped with a 21-speed Shimano gear system. Use the shifters on the handlebars to change gears according to terrain and desired speed. Shift smoothly to avoid strain on the drivetrain.

Braking:

The ANCHEER electric bike features front and rear mechanical disc brakes for reliable stopping power. Apply both brakes simultaneously for effective and controlled deceleration. Avoid sudden, hard braking, especially at high speeds.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your electric bike.

  • Battery Care: Charge the battery regularly, even if not in use, to maintain its health. Store the battery in a cool, dry place. Avoid fully discharging the battery.
  • Tire Pressure: Check tire pressure before each ride. Maintain pressure within the recommended range printed on the tire sidewall.
  • Brake Inspection: Regularly check brake pads for wear and brake cables for tension. Adjust or replace as needed.
  • Chain Lubrication: Keep the chain clean and lubricated to ensure smooth gear changes and prevent rust.
  • General Cleaning: Clean the bike with a damp cloth. Avoid using high-pressure washers directly on electrical components.
  • Fastener Check: Periodically check all bolts and nuts for tightness, especially on critical components like handlebars, wheels, and seat post.
