5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Basic Channel Operation
- Gain Control: Adjust the GAIN knob at the top of each channel to set the input level. Aim for the PEAK LED to flash only occasionally, indicating a strong signal without clipping.
- Equalization (EQ): Use the HIGH, MID, and LOW knobs to adjust the tonal characteristics of each channel.
- AUX Sends: The AUX1 and AUX2/EFF knobs control the amount of signal sent to the respective auxiliary outputs or the internal effects processor.
- Pan Control: The PAN knob adjusts the stereo position of the channel's signal in the main mix (left to right).
- Mute Button: Press the MUTE button to silence the channel.
- PFL (Pre-Fader Listen) Button: Press the PFL button to monitor the channel's signal before the fader, allowing you to set gain levels accurately via headphones.
- Channel Fader: Use the channel fader to control the volume of the channel in the main mix.
5.2 Main Mix Control
- Main Faders: The LEFT MAIN and RIGHT MAIN faders control the overall output volume of the stereo mix.
- Level Meters: Monitor the main output level using the LED meters. Aim for levels that are strong but do not consistently peak into the red.
- Phones Level: Adjust the PHONES VOL knob to control the headphone output level.
6. DSP Digital Effects Processor
The RX120 features a built-in 24-bit DSP effects processor with 24 selectable presets, including various reverbs, delays, chorus, and more.

- Selecting Effects: Turn the PROGRAM (PUSH) knob to scroll through the 24 available effects displayed on the digital screen.
- Confirming Selection: Press the PROGRAM (PUSH) knob to confirm your effect selection.
- Applying Effects: Use the AUX2/EFF knob on each channel to send the desired amount of that channel's signal to the selected effect. The FX fader controls the overall return level of the effects into the main mix.
7. Bluetooth Connectivity
The RX120 allows wireless audio streaming from Bluetooth-enabled devices.
- Activate Bluetooth: Press the MODE button on the MP3/USB section until "BT" appears on the digital display.
- Pairing: On your Bluetooth device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), search for available devices and select "XTUGA RX120" (or similar name).
- Playback: Once paired, play audio from your device. Control the volume using the MP3 channel fader on the mixer.
8. USB Playback and Recording
The mixer supports MP3 playback from a USB drive and direct recording of the main mix to a USB drive.
8.1 MP3 Playback
- Insert a USB flash drive containing MP3 files into the USB port.
- The mixer should automatically detect the USB drive and begin playback. If not, press the MODE button to select USB mode.
- Use the playback controls (Play/Pause, Previous, Next) on the MP3/USB section to navigate tracks.
- Adjust the volume using the MP3 channel fader.
8.2 Recording to USB
- Ensure a formatted USB flash drive is inserted into the USB port.
- Set up your desired mix and levels.
- Press the REC button on the MP3/USB section to start recording the main stereo mix to the USB drive. The display will indicate recording status.
- Press the REC button again to stop recording.
9. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the mixer's surface. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the mixer in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Ventilation: Regularly check that ventilation openings are clear of dust and debris.
