Setup Instructions
- Assemble the Main Rod: Connect the fixed tube to the water pump unit. For deeper tanks, attach one or both extension tubes to achieve the desired length. The handle can extend from 16.9 inches to 33.6 inches.
- Connect Power: Securely connect the power adapter cable to the pump unit's power input. Ensure the connection is tight to prevent water ingress.
- Choose Attachment: Select the appropriate attachment for your task (e.g., Sand Vacuum for gravel cleaning, Shower Head for water showering). Attach it firmly to the bottom of the pump unit.
- Prepare for Operation: Ensure the pump unit is fully submerged in water before turning it on to maintain strong suction power and ensure service life. The water surface height should be no less than 13.7 inches for proper operation.

Operating Modes
1. Water Changing & Debris Removal
Attach the outlet hose to the pump unit. Place the other end of the hose into a bucket or drain. Submerge the sand vacuum attachment into the gravel and turn on the power. The pump will suck water and debris from the bottom of the tank. The filter bag can be attached to the pump's outlet to filter debris while returning clean water to the tank, or the hose can direct dirty water out for a water change.

2. Sand Washing & Filtration
For sand washing, use the sand washing head. Gently move it across the sand bed to agitate and clean the sand. The mesh cover on the cleaning head prevents larger particles or small fish from being sucked in. For water filtration, ensure the filter bag is attached to the pump's outlet. The pump will circulate water through the filter bag, trapping debris and returning cleaner water to the tank.

3. Water Shower & Circulation
Attach the shower head to the pump's outlet. Submerge the pump unit and turn it on. The shower head will create a gentle water flow, ideal for providing a 'shower' for aquatic pets like turtles or for general water circulation to improve oxygenation and water movement within the tank.

Maintenance and Care
To ensure the longevity and efficient performance of your AQQA Gravel Cleaner, regular cleaning and maintenance are crucial:
- Disassemble: The cleaner can be easily disassembled without any tools. Separate the pump unit from the main rod and detach any accessories.
- Clean Pump & Rotor: Carefully remove the protection cover and ceramic rotor from the pump unit. Rinse all parts thoroughly under clean water to remove any accumulated debris, slime, or algae.
- Clean Filter Bag: If used, empty and rinse the filter bag thoroughly. It can be washed with mild soap and water if heavily soiled, then rinsed completely to remove all soap residue.
- Clean Attachments: Rinse all attachments (sand vacuum, brush head, hoses) with clean water. Use a small brush if necessary to remove stubborn debris.
- Reassemble: Once all parts are clean and dry, reassemble the cleaner. Ensure all connections are secure.

Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Weak or No Suction | Pump not fully submerged; Blockage in intake/hose; Dirty filter bag. | Ensure pump is fully submerged (min. 13.7 inches water height). Check for and clear any blockages. Clean or replace filter bag. |
| Water Leakage | Loose connections; Damaged O-rings/seals. | Check all connections and tighten them securely. Inspect O-rings and seals for damage and replace if necessary. |
| Pump Not Turning On | No power; Faulty switch; Motor issue. | Check power outlet and connections. Ensure ON/OFF switch is in the 'ON' position. If problem persists, contact customer support. |
| Sand Being Sucked Up (when not desired) | Incorrect attachment; Suction too strong for fine sand. | Use the appropriate attachment (e.g., sand washing head with mesh). Adjust suction power if possible or use a gentler motion. |
