Charging the Parent Unit
Before first use, fully charge the parent unit for approximately 8 hours. Connect the power adapter to the parent unit and a power outlet. The battery indicator will show charging status.
Positioning the Baby Unit (Camera)
Place the baby unit in a location that provides a clear view of your baby's crib or play area. Ensure it is at least 3 feet (1 meter) away from the baby to avoid potential hazards. The camera can be placed on a flat surface or wall-mounted.
Powering On
Connect the power adapter to the baby unit and a power outlet. The baby unit will power on automatically. Press and hold the Power button on the parent unit to turn it on.
Pairing the Units
The parent and baby units are pre-paired at the factory. If pairing is lost or you are adding an additional camera (up to 4 channels supported), follow these steps:
- On the parent unit, press the Menu button.
- Navigate to the Camera icon and select Add Camera.
- Press the Pair button on the back of the baby unit. The parent unit will automatically connect to the camera.

Operating Your Monitor
Live View
Once powered on and paired, the parent unit will display the live video feed from the baby unit.
Two-Way Talk
To speak to your baby, press and hold the Talk button on the parent unit. Release the button to hear your baby.
Zoom Function
Press the Zoom button on the parent unit to digitally zoom in on the video feed. Press again to cycle through zoom levels or return to normal view.
Night Vision
The baby unit automatically activates infrared night vision in low-light conditions, providing a clear black and white image of your baby. This feature ensures continuous monitoring even in complete darkness.
Temperature Monitoring
The baby unit includes a temperature sensor that displays the room temperature on the parent unit's screen. This helps ensure your baby's environment is comfortable.
Battery Life
The parent unit offers up to 24 hours of battery life in display-off mode, or 10 hours with continuous display. For optimal battery longevity, fully charge the unit before each use and avoid frequent partial discharges.
Wireless Connectivity
The VAVA Video Baby Monitor utilizes a secure 2.4GHz FHSS wireless technology for a private and stable connection between the parent and baby units. This dedicated connection does not rely on your home Wi-Fi network, ensuring reliability even during internet outages.
Maintenance
Cleaning
To clean the monitor and camera units, use a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn marks, a slightly damp cloth with mild soap can be used, ensuring no liquid enters the device openings. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
Storage
When not in use for extended periods, store the monitor and camera in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
Troubleshooting
No Signal / Disconnected
- Ensure both units are powered on and within range.
- Check for obstructions between the units that might interfere with the signal.
- Re-pair the units following the "Pairing the Units" instructions.
Poor Image Quality
- Ensure the camera lens is clean.
- Adjust the camera's position for better lighting.
- Check for strong light sources directly facing the camera.
No Sound / Static Sound
- Increase the volume on the parent unit.
- Ensure the baby unit's microphone is not obstructed.
- Move the units closer together to improve signal strength.
Parent Unit Not Charging
- Verify the power adapter is securely connected to both the unit and the power outlet.
- Try a different power outlet.
- Ensure the power adapter is the original VAVA adapter.
