3. Setup

Before connecting any device, ensure the voltage converter is set to the correct input voltage for your region and the desired output voltage for your appliance.

3.1 Voltage Selection

  1. Identify your local power supply voltage: Determine if your wall outlet provides 110V/120V or 220V/240V.
  2. Identify your appliance's required voltage: Check the label on your appliance to see if it requires 110V/120V or 220V/240V.
  3. Set the Voltage Selector Switch: On the back of the converter, locate the slide switch.
    • If your local power is 110V/120V and your appliance needs 220V/240V, slide the switch to AC117V.
    • If your local power is 220V/240V and your appliance needs 110V/120V, slide the switch to AC230V.

Important: Incorrect voltage selection can damage the converter and/or your appliance. Always verify settings before plugging in.

4. Operating Instructions

Follow these steps to safely operate your Yanmis Voltage Converter:

  1. Ensure Correct Voltage Selection: Double-check that the voltage selector switch on the back of the converter is set correctly according to your input power and appliance requirements (refer to Section 3.1).
  2. Connect Appliance: Plug your appliance's power cord into the universal AC output socket on the front of the converter.
  3. Plug into Wall Outlet: Insert the converter's input plug into the wall power outlet.
  4. Power On Appliance: Turn on your appliance. The red indicator light on the converter will illuminate, indicating power is flowing.
  5. Disconnect Safely: When finished, turn off your appliance, then unplug the converter from the wall outlet, and finally disconnect your appliance from the converter.

Note: This converter is designed for small appliances with a maximum power consumption of 100 Watts. Do not exceed this limit to prevent overheating and damage.

5. Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your voltage converter.

  • Cleaning: Disconnect the converter from all power sources before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
  • Storage: Store the converter in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture when not in use.
  • Inspection: Periodically inspect the converter for any signs of damage, such as frayed cords, cracked casing, or loose connections. Do not use if damaged.
  • Avoid Overloading: Always ensure the connected appliance's power consumption does not exceed the converter's 100W maximum capacity.
