- Ensure the iron is unplugged from the power outlet.
- Open the water tank filler cap.
- Fill the tank with clean tap water up to the 'MAX' indicator. Do not overfill.
- Close the filler cap securely.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Temperature Setting
- Plug the iron into a suitable power outlet.
- Turn the temperature control dial to the desired setting based on the fabric type. Refer to the fabric care labels on your garments.
- The indicator light will illuminate, indicating the iron is heating. It will turn off when the set temperature is reached.
5.2. Dry Ironing
For dry ironing, ensure the steam control is set to the '0' (no steam) position. Iron garments as usual, adjusting the temperature according to the fabric.
5.3. Steam Ironing
Steam ironing is suitable for most fabrics except synthetics and silk. Ensure the water tank is filled and the temperature dial is set to the steam zone (usually between two and three dots or 'MAX').
- Once the iron reaches the set temperature (indicator light off), adjust the steam control to the desired steam level.
- Move the iron over the fabric. Steam will be continuously released from the soleplate.
5.4. Steam Shot / Vertical Steam
For stubborn creases or vertical steaming of hanging garments, press the steam shot button. Allow a few seconds between shots for steam to regenerate.
5.5. Spray Function
Press the spray button to lightly moisten fabrics, which helps in removing wrinkles. This function can be used with or without steam.
6. Maintenance
6.1. Cleaning the Soleplate
- Allow the iron to cool completely.
- Wipe the soleplate with a damp cloth and a non-abrasive cleaner if necessary.
- Do not use abrasive scourers or chemical cleaners as they can damage the soleplate.
6.2. Self-Clean Function
- Fill the water tank to the MAX level.
- Set the temperature dial to MAX and plug in the iron.
- Once the indicator light turns off, unplug the iron.
- Hold the iron horizontally over a sink.
- Press and hold the self-clean button. Hot water and steam will be expelled from the soleplate, flushing out mineral deposits.
- Gently rock the iron back and forth until the water tank is empty.
- Plug the iron back in and heat it to dry the soleplate.
- Unplug and store once cool. Perform this function monthly or as needed.
6.3. Storage
After use, unplug the iron and allow it to cool completely. Empty any remaining water from the tank. Store the iron upright on its heel rest in a safe, dry place.
