Setup
1. Powering the Device
The VIOLA 2 can be powered either by the included mains adapter or by batteries.
- Mains Operation:
- Connect the mains adapter to the DC 6V input on the rear of the radio.
- Plug the adapter into a wall socket.
- Battery Operation:
- Open the battery compartment cover on the rear of the radio.
- Insert 4 x AA-LR6 batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.

2. Antenna Adjustment
For optimal reception, fully extend the telescopic antenna. Adjust its position and angle to achieve the best signal quality, especially in areas with weaker reception.
Operating Instructions
1. Power On/Off
Press the On/Off button located on the front panel to turn the radio on or off.
2. Mode Selection (DAB+/FM)
Press the DAB/FM button to switch between DAB+ (Digital Audio Broadcasting) and FM (Frequency Modulation) radio modes.

3. Automatic Station Scan (First Use)
Upon first power-on, the radio will automatically perform a scan for available DAB+ stations. This process may take a few minutes. Ensure the antenna is extended for best results. For FM, you may need to manually scan or tune.
4. Tuning and Station Selection
- DAB+ Mode:
After the initial scan, use the Tune +/- buttons to scroll through the list of available DAB+ stations. Press the Volume/Enter knob to select a station.
- FM Mode:
In FM mode, use the Tune +/- buttons to manually adjust the frequency. Press and hold a Tune +/- button for a few seconds to automatically scan for the next available station.
5. Volume Control
Rotate the Volume/Enter knob clockwise to increase the volume and counter-clockwise to decrease it.
6. Headphone Use
To listen privately, plug standard 3.5mm headphones into the headphone jack on the rear of the radio. The built-in speaker will automatically mute.

7. Info/Menu Button
