3.2 Pairing Sensors with the Receiver
Follow these steps to pair your sensors with the receiver:
- Clear Existing Pairing (Optional): If you are reassigning channels or encountering issues, first clear the receiver's memory. Press and hold the Power button on the receiver, then plug in the power cable. Continue holding until all four channel lights flash red in sequence, indicating successful clearing. If you do not wish to reassign channels, you can skip this step.
- Enter Pairing Mode: With the receiver powered on, press and hold the Power button until all four channel lights flash red again. This indicates the receiver is ready to pair.
- Activate Sensor: Install 4 AA 1.5V batteries (not included) into the sensor. The sensor will automatically attempt to pair.
- Confirm Pairing: The receiver will produce a unique tone based on the assigned channel, confirming successful pairing.

6. Troubleshooting
- False Alarms: Adjust the sensitivity of the sensor (Hi = 30ft, Low = 15ft) using the switch in the battery compartment. Ensure the sensor is not pointing at moving objects like tree branches or reflective surfaces.
- No Detection: Verify that the sensor batteries are correctly installed and charged. Ensure the sensor is properly aimed and not obstructed. Check the receiver's power connection. Re-pair the sensor if necessary.
- Low Battery Indication: If a channel light on the receiver flashes, it indicates a low battery in the corresponding sensor. Replace the batteries promptly.
- Poor Range: While the system boasts a 1/2 mile range in ideal conditions, environmental factors like thick walls, dense foliage, or electronic interference can reduce effective range. Try repositioning the receiver or sensors for optimal signal.
