3. Setup

3.1. Charging and Inserting the Battery

  1. Insert the supplied NP-FZ100 battery into the AC adaptor and connect it to a power outlet using the USB Type-C cable. The charging indicator will light up.
  2. Once fully charged, open the battery/memory card cover located at the bottom of the camera.
  3. Insert the charged battery into the battery compartment with the correct orientation until it locks into place.
  4. Close the battery/memory card cover securely.

3.2. Attaching the Lens

  1. Remove the body cap from the camera and the rear lens cap from the lens.
  2. Align the white index mark on the lens with the white index mark on the camera's lens mount.
  3. Mount the lens by turning it clockwise until it clicks into place.
  4. To remove the lens, press the lens release button on the camera and turn the lens counter-clockwise.

3.3. Inserting a Memory Card

  1. Open the battery/memory card cover.
  2. Insert a compatible SD/SDHC/SDXC (UHS-II) memory card into the slot with the correct orientation until it clicks.
  3. Close the cover securely.

4.1. Powering On/Off

To power on the camera, rotate the ON/OFF switch located on the top plate. To power off, rotate it back to the OFF position.
