4. Operation

4.1. Charging the Lights

Both the front and rear lights are rechargeable via the included micro USB cable. It is recommended to fully charge the lights before first use.

  • Locate the micro USB port on each light. For the rear light, it is typically on the side or bottom, protected by a rubber flap.
  • Connect the micro USB cable to the light's port and the other end to a USB power source (e.g., computer USB port, USB wall adapter).
  • An indicator light (usually red during charging, green when fully charged) will show the charging status.
  • Charging time may vary, but typically takes a few hours for a full charge.

4.2. Turning On/Off

Each light has a power button, usually located on the top or side.

  • To turn the light ON, press and hold the power button for approximately 1-2 seconds.
  • To turn the light OFF, press and hold the power button again for approximately 1-2 seconds.
  • Some models may have multiple light modes (e.g., steady, flashing). Briefly press the power button to cycle through available modes.

5. Maintenance

Proper maintenance will extend the lifespan of your lighting set:

  • Cleaning: Wipe the lights with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the casing or lens.
  • Battery Care: Recharge the batteries regularly, even if the lights are not used frequently, to maintain battery health. Avoid completely draining the battery before recharging.
  • Storage: Store the lights in a cool, dry place when not in use. If storing for an extended period, ensure the batteries are partially charged (around 50%) to prevent deep discharge.
  • Water Resistance: While splash-proof (IP44 rated), avoid submerging the lights in water. Ensure the USB port cover is securely closed to maintain water resistance.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your lighting set, try the following:

  • Light not turning on: Ensure the battery is charged. Connect the light to a USB power source and check the charging indicator.
  • Light is dim: The battery may be low. Recharge the light fully.
  • Light flickers: Check the mounting to ensure it is secure. If the issue persists, recharge the battery.
  • Charging issue: Try a different micro USB cable or USB power source. Ensure the cable is fully inserted into the port.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, please contact Cube customer support or your retailer for further assistance.
