4. Setup

4.1. Physical Installation

Choose a suitable mounting location, ensuring a clear field of view and protection from direct harsh weather if possible, despite its IP66 rating. Use the provided mounting screws to securely attach the camera to a ceiling or wall. Ensure the camera's cables are routed correctly and protected.

4.2. Network Connection

The camera supports Power over Ethernet (POE) for simplified installation, requiring only a single Ethernet cable for both power and data. Ensure your NVR or POE switch is compatible.

• Work with POE Switch: Connect the IP POE Camera to a POE Switch via an RJ-45 Ethernet cable. The POE Switch then connects to your Router's LAN port.
• Work with POE NVR: Connect the IP POE Camera directly to a POE NVR via an RJ-45 Ethernet cable. The NVR connects to your Router's LAN port and can output to an HD Monitor via HDMI or VGA.
• Work with Router (without POE): Connect the IP POE Camera to a DC 12V power supply and then to your Router's LAN port via an RJ-45 Ethernet cable.

Ensure the IP camera/Router/NVR/PC are all in the same local area network (LAN) segment for proper communication.

4.3. Initial Configuration & SD Card Installation

Before initial use, you may need to activate the camera and set a password. This can typically be done via a web interface, SADP search tool, or client software. For local storage, install a microSD card (up to 256GB) by carefully opening the camera's dome cover. After insertion, format the SD card through the camera's configuration interface.

5.1. Remote Control (Pan/Tilt/Zoom)

Control the camera's pan (355°), tilt (90°), and 5X optical zoom functions remotely via the web browser interface or a compatible smartphone application (e.g., Power APP for iOS & Android). You can adjust the pan/tilt speed and set up to 300 preset points for quick navigation to specific areas.

5.2. Motion Detection

Configure motion detection settings through the camera's web interface or smartphone app. You can define specific areas for motion detection and receive push notifications to your smartphone when motion is detected. This feature helps in triggering recordings and alerting you to abnormalities.

5.3. Smartphone App Access

• Motion Detection Not Working: Verify motion detection areas are correctly configured and enabled. Adjust sensitivity settings.
