4.2. Network Connection
The camera supports Power over Ethernet (POE) for simplified installation, requiring only a single Ethernet cable for both power and data. Ensure your NVR or POE switch is compatible.
- Work with POE Switch: Connect the IP POE Camera to a POE Switch via an RJ-45 Ethernet cable. The POE Switch then connects to your Router's LAN port.
- Work with POE NVR: Connect the IP POE Camera directly to a POE NVR via an RJ-45 Ethernet cable. The NVR connects to your Router's LAN port and can output to an HD Monitor via HDMI or VGA.
- Work with Router (without POE): Connect the IP POE Camera to a DC 12V power supply and then to your Router's LAN port via an RJ-45 Ethernet cable.
Ensure the IP camera/Router/NVR/PC are all in the same local area network (LAN) segment for proper communication.

4.3. Initial Configuration & SD Card Installation
Before initial use, you may need to activate the camera and set a password. This can typically be done via a web interface, SADP search tool, or client software. For local storage, install a microSD card (up to 256GB) by carefully opening the camera's dome cover. After insertion, format the SD card through the camera's configuration interface.
