3. Headset Controls and Features

3.1 Controls Layout

4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Headset

  1. Connect the small end of the USB charging cable to the charging port on the headset.
  2. Connect the large end of the USB charging cable to a powered USB port (e.g., on your console, computer, or a USB wall adapter).
  3. The LED indicator on the headset will show charging status. It typically glows solid red while charging and turns off or changes color when fully charged.

4.2 Connecting to PS4 (Wireless)

  1. Insert the USB Wireless Dongle into an available USB port on your PlayStation 4 console.
  2. Power on your PS4 console.
  3. Press and hold the Power button on your PDP LVL50 headset until you hear an audible tone and the LED indicator lights up.
  4. The headset and USB dongle should automatically pair. The LED on both devices will indicate a successful connection (e.g., solid blue light).
  5. On your PS4, navigate to Settings > Devices > Audio Devices.
  6. Ensure that 'Output Device' is set to 'PDP LVL50 Wireless Headset' and 'Input Device' is also set to 'PDP LVL50 Wireless Headset'.
  7. Adjust 'Volume Control (Headphones)' to your desired level.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Powering On/Off

  • To Power On: Press and hold the Power button on the left earcup for approximately 3 seconds until the LED illuminates and you hear a power-on tone.
  • To Power Off: Press and hold the Power button for approximately 3 seconds until the LED turns off and you hear a power-off tone.

5.2 Adjusting Volume

Rotate the Volume Dial on the left earcup:

  • Rotate upwards (towards MAX) to increase the overall headset volume.
  • Rotate downwards (towards MIN) to decrease the overall headset volume.

5.3 Microphone Usage

  • Mute/Unmute: Flip the microphone arm up to mute your microphone. Flip it down to unmute. You will hear an audible tone indicating the mute status change.
  • Positioning: Position the microphone approximately 1-2 inches from your mouth for optimal voice clarity.

5.4 Mode Button Functionality

Press the Mode button on the left earcup to cycle through different audio modes. These modes may include:

  • Game Audio Focus: Prioritizes game sound.
  • Chat Audio Focus: Prioritizes chat sound.
  • Balanced Audio: Equal balance between game and chat audio.

Refer to the LED indicators or audible cues for the currently selected mode.

6. Maintenance

  • Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the headset frequently. Charge the headset regularly, even if not in use for extended periods.
