Setup
1. Powering On/Off
- To power on the speaker, press the Power button located on the side.
- To power off the speaker, press and hold the Power button until the indicator light turns off.
2. Bluetooth Pairing
- Ensure the speaker is powered on.
- Press the Bluetooth button on the speaker. The LED indicator will flash, indicating it's in pairing mode.
- On your mobile device (smartphone, tablet, etc.), go to the Bluetooth settings.
- Select "JBL CLIP 4" from the list of available devices.
- Once connected, the Bluetooth indicator light on the speaker will turn solid.

Operating Instructions
Volume Control
- Press the + button to increase volume.
- Press the - button to decrease volume.
Music Playback
- Press the Play/Pause button (triangle icon) once to play or pause music.
- Press the Play/Pause button twice to skip to the next track.
Using the Integrated Carabiner
The JBL CLIP 4 features a redesigned integrated carabiner. Open the carabiner by pressing the spring-loaded gate and attach it securely to your backpack, belt loop, or other suitable loops. Ensure it is firmly closed before use.

Charging
The JBL CLIP 4 is equipped with a built-in rechargeable lithium-ion polymer battery.
- Connect the supplied USB Type-C cable to the charging port on the speaker and to a USB power adapter (not included).
- The charging indicator light will illuminate during charging and turn off once fully charged.
- A full charge takes approximately 3 hours (using a 5V/500mA power source).
- The speaker provides up to 10 hours of playback time, depending on volume level and audio content.

Waterproof and Dustproof (IP67)
The JBL CLIP 4 is rated IP67, meaning it is fully waterproof and dustproof.
- It can be immersed in water up to 1 meter (3.3 feet) for up to 30 minutes.
- It is protected against dust ingress.
- Ensure the charging port cover is securely closed before exposing the speaker to water or dust.

Troubleshooting
No Power
- Ensure the battery is charged. Connect the speaker to a power source using the USB Type-C cable.
- Press and hold the Power button for a few seconds to ensure it's not just in standby.
Cannot Connect via Bluetooth
- Make sure the speaker is in Bluetooth pairing mode (flashing LED).
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your source device.
- Move the speaker closer to your source device.
- Try unpairing and re-pairing the speaker from your device's Bluetooth settings.
- If multiple devices are connected, disconnect others or try pairing in a less congested area.
Poor Sound Quality
- Ensure the speaker and your device are within Bluetooth range (up to 10 meters).
- Check for obstructions between the speaker and your device.
- Adjust the volume on both the speaker and your source device.
- Ensure the speaker is not covered or placed in a way that obstructs the sound output.
