4.2 Recording Modes

4.2.1 Normal Recording

When powered on, the dash cam continuously records video in segments. These segments are saved to the MicroSD card.

4.2.2 Loop Recording

This feature ensures continuous recording by overwriting the oldest unlocked video files when the MicroSD card reaches its capacity. This prevents the card from filling up and stopping new recordings.

4.2.3 Emergency Recording (G-Sensor)

The built-in G-sensor detects sudden impacts or collisions. When an event is detected, the current video segment is automatically locked and protected from being overwritten by loop recording. These files are stored in a separate folder on the MicroSD card.

4.3 24-Hour Parking Monitor

To enable 24-hour parking monitoring, a hardwire kit (not included) is required to provide continuous power to the dash cam from your vehicle's battery. Once installed, the dash cam can monitor your car while parked. It will activate and record if motion is detected in front of the vehicle or if an impact occurs. Recording stops after 10 seconds of no motion.

Note: Professional installation of the hardwire kit is recommended.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning the Lenses and Screen

Regularly clean the front and rear camera lenses, as well as the touchscreen, with a soft, lint-free cloth. For stubborn smudges, use a specialized lens cleaning solution. Avoid abrasive materials that could scratch the surfaces.

5.2 MicroSD Card Management

It is recommended to format the MicroSD card periodically (e.g., once a month) within the dash cam's settings to ensure optimal performance and prevent data corruption. Back up any important video files before formatting.

5.3 Firmware Updates

Check the EACHPAI official website for any available firmware updates. Keeping your dash cam's firmware up-to-date can improve performance, add new features, and fix bugs.

6. Troubleshooting

  • Dash Cam does not power on:
Ensure the car charger is properly connected to both the dash cam and the vehicle's power outlet. Check if the vehicle's power outlet is functioning.
  • Dash Cam stops recording:
Check if the MicroSD card is full. Format the card if necessary (back up important files first). Ensure the MicroSD card is Class 10 or higher and not defective.
  • Video footage is blurry or unclear:
Clean the camera lenses. Ensure the protective film has been removed from the lenses. Check if the dash cam is securely mounted and not vibrating.
  • Wi-Fi connection issues:
Ensure Wi-Fi is enabled on the dash cam and your smartphone. Try restarting both devices. Make sure you are connecting to the correct Wi-Fi hotspot.
  • GPS signal not found:
Ensure the GPS module is properly connected and mounted in a location with a clear view of the sky. Move the vehicle to an open area away from tall buildings or dense foliage.
  • Parking Monitor not working:
Verify that a hardwire kit is correctly installed and providing continuous power. Check the parking monitor settings in the dash cam menu.
  • Dash Cam freezes or crashes:
Press and hold the power button to force a restart. If the issue persists, try formatting the MicroSD card or performing a factory reset (refer to the dash cam's settings menu).
