Operating Instructions

Follow these steps to properly use the EL-50448 tool for TPMS sensor relearning.

Step 1: Set Your Car in TPMS Relearn Mode

  1. Ensure the vehicle's gear is in the P (Park) position.
  2. Using the vehicle's cruise control settings, navigate to and select the TPMS re-learn mode in the dashboard display.
  3. The vehicle's horn will sound twice, and the TPMS indicator light will flash, confirming that the learning mode has been successfully entered. If equipped, the message center may display a prompt for the front left (LF) tire.
  4. Once in relearn mode, the Body Control Module (BCM) is ready to record the ID information of each tire pressure sensor.

Step 2: Use the EL-50448 Relearn Tool

  1. Begin with the left-front tire. Hold the EL-50448 unit next to the tire valve stem, ensuring the tool's antenna is close to the tire sidewall.
  2. Press the white operation button on the tool. The vehicle's horn will bleep once, indicating successful activation of the sensor. The green LED on the tool will illuminate, signifying transmission.
  3. Proceed to the remaining tires in the following sequence:
    • Front-Right tire
    • Rear-Right tire
    • Rear-Left tire
Repeat step 2 for each tire.
  4. After all four sensors have been reset, the vehicle's horn will sound twice, confirming that the TPMS relearn process is complete.
