Basic Flight Controls

Familiarize yourself with the remote controller's joysticks and buttons. The left stick typically controls altitude and yaw (rotation), while the right stick controls forward/backward and left/right movement. Always perform a pre-flight check before takeoff.

Intelligent Flight Modes

  • Spotlight 2.0: Keeps the camera locked on a subject while you fly freely, allowing for dynamic shots.
  • ActiveTrack 3.0: Automatically tracks and keeps subjects centered in the frame, even if they move.
  • POI 3.0 (Point of Interest): Tracks moving subjects like people and vehicles in a circular path around them.

Camera Operation

The Mavic Air 2 is equipped with a powerful camera capable of capturing 48MP photos and 4K/60fps video. The 3-axis gimbal ensures stable footage. For enhanced dynamic range, utilize the HDR video feature, which leverages a high-performance Quad Bayer image sensor.

Flight Safety and Obstacle Sensing

The drone features obstacle sensing in three directions (forward, backward, and downward) to enhance flight safety, especially for beginners. Always fly in open areas, away from people and obstacles. Be aware of local flight restrictions and regulations. Avoid flying indoors unless you are an experienced pilot and have sufficient space.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Regularly clean the drone body, camera lens, and sensors with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using liquids or abrasive materials.
  • Propeller Inspection: Before each flight, inspect propellers for any cracks, bends, or damage. Replace damaged propellers immediately.
  • Battery Care: Store batteries in a cool, dry place. Do not fully discharge or overcharge batteries. If storing for extended periods, discharge them to approximately 50-60% capacity.
  • Gimbal Protection: Always attach the gimbal protector when transporting or storing the drone to prevent damage to the camera and gimbal mechanism.
