2. Safety Information
Always follow basic safety precautions when using electrical appliances to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury. This appliance is for household use only.
- Do not leave the appliance unattended when plugged in. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before servicing.
- Do not use with damaged cord or plug. If appliance is not working as it should, has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or dropped into water, return it to a service center.
- Do not pull or carry by cord, use cord as a handle, close a door on cord, or pull cord around sharp edges or corners. Do not run appliance over cord. Keep cord away from heated surfaces.

3. Product Overview and Components
Familiarize yourself with the main parts of your Vax SpotWash Spot Cleaner:

4. Setup
- Unpack the Unit: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or transport.
- Fill the Clean Water Tank:
- Remove the clean water tank from the main unit.
- Unscrew the cap and fill the tank with warm tap water up to the 'MAX FILL' line.
- Add the recommended amount of Vax cleaning solution as per the solution bottle instructions.
- Securely replace the cap and reinsert the tank into the main unit until it clicks into place.

- Attach the Desired Cleaning Tool: Connect either the Multi-purpose Attachment or the Hard Floor Scrub Attachment to the end of the hose, ensuring it is securely fastened.
- Plug In: Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet.
5. Operating Instructions
Follow these steps for effective spot cleaning:
- Pre-treat (Optional): For tough stains, pre-treat the area with a suitable spot cleaning solution according to the solution manufacturer's instructions.
- Power On: Turn on the Vax SpotWash by pressing the power button.
- Spray and Scrub:
- Hold the cleaning attachment over the stained area.
- Press the trigger on the attachment to spray cleaning solution onto the stain.
- Gently scrub the stain with the brush on the attachment.

- Suction: Release the trigger and slowly pull the attachment over the treated area to suction up the dirty water. Repeat this step until the water being extracted appears clean.
- Drying: Allow the cleaned area to air dry completely. Avoid walking on or using the area until it is dry.

6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your SpotWash cleaner.
6.1 After Each Use
- Empty and Rinse Dirty Water Tank:
- Remove the dirty water tank from the main unit.
- Carefully empty the contents into a sink or toilet.
- Rinse the tank thoroughly with clean water to remove any debris or residue.
- Allow the tank to air dry before reassembling.

- Rinse Clean Water Tank: If any solution remains, empty and rinse the clean water tank.
- Self-Clean Function: The Vax SpotWash features a self-clean function to flush dirt and debris from the hose. Follow the instructions in your quick start guide or on the unit for this process.
- Clean Attachments: Rinse the cleaning attachments under running water. Remove any hair or debris from the brushes.
- Wipe Down Unit: Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a damp cloth.

6.2 Storage
Ensure the unit and all tanks are completely dry before storing. Store the Vax SpotWash in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
