2. Safety Instructions

4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Battery

Before initial use, fully charge the 2.0Ah Lithium-Ion Battery. Connect the fast charger to a power outlet and insert the battery. The charger indicator light will show the charging status. A full charge typically takes approximately one hour. The battery is designed for long life with a 1,000-Charging Cycle Test.

4.2 Attaching the Polishing Pad

The polisher uses a hook-and-loop fastening system for quick pad changes.

  1. Ensure the polisher is off and the battery is removed.
  2. Align the desired polishing pad (Woolen, Microfiber, Flat Foam, or Wave Foam) with the 4-inch replaceable paste tray.
  3. Press the pad firmly onto the tray to secure it. The wave foam pad is designed to improve effectiveness by providing better pad contact and reducing heat buildup.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Powering On/Off

Insert the charged battery into the polisher. To power on, press and hold the power button for a few seconds until the unit starts. To power off, press the power button again. The polisher weighs only 1.7 lbs and features an ergonomic rubber handle for comfortable use.

5.2 Adjusting Speed Settings

The KIMO polisher features 5 variable speed settings, ranging from 600 to 3000 RPM. Use the +/- buttons to adjust the speed according to your task:

  • Low Speed (600-1200 RPM): Ideal for waxing and buffing.
  • Medium Speed (1800-2400 RPM): Suitable for general polishing and cleaning.

5.3 Application Techniques

Apply a small amount of compound, polish, or wax directly to the pad or the surface. Work in small sections, using light to moderate pressure. Maintain consistent movement to avoid concentrating heat in one area. The battery provides up to 15 minutes of run time on a full charge.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning the Polisher and Pads

  • After each use, remove the battery.
  • Clean the polishing pads thoroughly with water and a mild detergent. Allow them to air dry completely before storage.
  • Wipe the polisher body with a clean, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.

6.2 Battery Storage
