1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the safe and efficient operation of your Lacidoll 2.1Gal 8L Top Fill Large Humidifier. This humidifier is designed to increase humidity levels in rooms up to 500 sq.ft., offering features such as top-fill convenience, automatic humidity control, and an essential oil tray.

2. Important Safety Instructions

• Always place the humidifier on a firm, flat, and level surface.
• Do not place the humidifier directly on carpet or a towel.
• Unplug the humidifier from the power outlet before filling, cleaning, or performing any maintenance.
• Never add water directly into the mist outlet or base chamber. Only add water through the designated top-fill opening. Adding water to the mist outlet can damage the device.
• Do not add essential oils directly into the water tank. Use only the designated essential oil tray.
• Keep the humidifier out of reach of children and pets.
• Ensure the water tank is securely placed on the base before operation to prevent leaks.

4. Setup and Initial Operation

4.1 Assembly

1. Place the humidifier base on a flat, stable surface.
2. Remove the top cover of the humidifier.
3. Attach the desired mist outlet extension(s) to the top of the humidifier. You can choose between a direct 360-degree dispenser or use extension tubes for higher mist output.
4. Connect the power cord to the humidifier's power inlet at the back.

4.2 Filling the Water Tank

1. Ensure the humidifier is unplugged from the power outlet.
2. Open the top-fill cover.
3. Pour clean, cool tap water directly into the water tank through the top opening. Do not exceed the 'MAX' fill line.
4. Close the top-fill cover securely.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off

• Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet. The display will briefly illuminate.
• Press the Power button on the control panel or remote control to turn the humidifier on or off.

5.2 Mist Settings

• Press the Mist button to cycle through three mist output levels: Low, Medium, and High.

5.3 Auto Mode and Humidistat

• The built-in humidistat allows the humidifier to automatically adjust mist output to maintain a desired humidity level.
• Press the Humidity button to set your target humidity level (e.g., 50%). The humidifier will operate until this level is reached, then pause and resume as needed.
• The humidifier features an automatic shut-off function when the water tank is empty or if the unit is tilted/falls over.

5.4 Timer and Sleep Mode

• Press the Timer button to set an operating duration from 1 to 12 hours. The humidifier will automatically turn off after the set time.
• Press the Sleep button to enter sleep mode. The display lights will turn off, and the humidifier will operate at a low, quiet setting.

5.5 UV Light Function

• The humidifier includes a built-in UV light to help sanitize the mist. Press the UV button to activate or deactivate this feature.

5.6 Remote Control

• All functions can be controlled using the included remote control. Ensure the remote has a working battery.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning is essential to prevent mineral buildup and maintain optimal performance.

1. Always unplug the humidifier before cleaning.

3. The wide water tank opening allows you to fit your hand inside for thorough cleaning. Use the provided cleaning sponge/brush and a mild detergent if necessary.
4. Rinse the tank thoroughly with clean water.
5. Wipe the exterior of the humidifier with a soft, damp cloth.
6. Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembling and operating the humidifier.

7. Essential Oil Tray

To use essential oils with your humidifier:

1. Locate the essential oil tray on the side of the humidifier.
2. Slide out the tray.
3. Place a tissue paper into the tiny essential oil tray (this helps prolong machine lifetime).
4. Add a few drops of your preferred essential oil onto the tissue paper.
5. Slide the tray back into the humidifier.

Warning: Do NOT add essential oils directly into the water tank, base chamber, or mist tube. This can damage the humidifier and void the warranty.

• No Mist Output: Ensure the water tank is filled and correctly seated. Check if the power cord is securely plugged in. If the unit has been running for a while, check for mineral buildup and clean the unit.
• Leaking Water: Verify that the water tank is properly aligned and sealed on the base. Ensure the humidifier is placed on a flat, level surface. Avoid overfilling the water tank beyond the MAX line.
• Unusual Noise: A slight trickling sound of water is normal. If the noise is excessive, ensure the unit is on a stable surface and not vibrating against other objects. Check for any obstructions in the fan or mist outlet.
• White Dust: This is typically caused by hard water. Consider using distilled or demineralized water to reduce white dust accumulation. Regular cleaning also helps.
• Humidifier Not Reaching Desired Humidity: Ensure the room size is within the humidifier's coverage area (up to 500 sq.ft.). Close windows and doors to prevent humidity from escaping. Increase the mist output setting.
