Setup

  1. Unpack the coffee maker and remove all packaging materials.
  2. Place the coffee maker on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface.
  3. Before first use, clean all removable parts (carafe, filter basket, permanent filter) in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
  4. Run a full cycle with only water to clean the internal components. Fill the water reservoir to the MAX level, place the empty carafe on the warming plate, and turn on the coffee maker. Discard the water after the cycle is complete.

Operating Instructions

Brewing Coffee

  1. Open the top lid and fill the water reservoir with fresh, cold water up to the desired number of cups (MAX 5 cups). The water level indicator on the side will assist you.
  2. Place the permanent filter into the filter basket. If using a paper filter (optional), place it inside the permanent filter.
  3. Add the desired amount of ground coffee into the filter. A general guideline is one level tablespoon of ground coffee per cup, but adjust to your taste.
  4. Close the top lid securely.
  5. Place the empty calibrated glass carafe onto the warming plate. Ensure it is properly seated to activate the drip-stop mechanism.
  6. Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet.
  7. Press the power switch to turn on the coffee maker. The indicator light will illuminate, and brewing will begin.
  8. The coffee maker features a Pause and Grab a Cup function, allowing you to temporarily remove the carafe during brewing to pour a cup. The brewing will pause and resume once the carafe is returned to the warming plate. Do not remove the carafe for more than 30 seconds to prevent overflow.
  9. Once brewing is complete, the coffee maker will automatically switch to Keep Warm Mode. The warming plate will keep the coffee hot.
  10. The coffee maker is equipped with an Auto Shut Off feature for safety and energy saving. It will automatically turn off after a period of inactivity.
  11. Unplug the coffee maker from the outlet when not in use.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning will ensure optimal performance and extend the life of your coffee maker.

Daily Cleaning

Descaling (Mineral Deposit Removal)

Mineral deposits (calcium) can build up in your coffee maker over time, affecting its performance. Descale your coffee maker every 2-3 months, or more frequently if you have hard water.

  1. Fill the water reservoir with a mixture of white vinegar and cold water (1:2 ratio, e.g., 1 cup vinegar to 2 cups water).
  2. Place the empty carafe on the warming plate.
  3. Turn on the coffee maker and let half of the solution brew through.
  4. Turn off the coffee maker and let it soak for at least 15 minutes to allow the solution to work on the deposits.
  5. Turn the coffee maker back on and let the remaining solution brew through.
  6. Discard the vinegar solution from the carafe.
  7. Run 2-3 full cycles with fresh, cold water to rinse out any remaining vinegar taste or odor.
