1. Product Overview

2. Safety Information

Always operate the generator outdoors in a well-ventilated area, away from windows, doors, and vents. Carbon monoxide is a colorless, odorless gas that can be fatal. Do not operate the generator in enclosed spaces. Keep children and pets away from the generator. Ensure the generator is properly grounded before use. 3. Setup

3.1 Unboxing and Initial Inspection

Carefully remove the generator from its packaging. Inspect for any damage during shipping. Ensure all included components are present: Generator, Operator's Manual, Bottle of Engine Oil, Oil Funnel, Spark Plug Wrench, and Wrench.

3.2 Adding Engine Oil

The generator is shipped without engine oil. Locate the oil fill cap and dipstick. Use the provided oil funnel to add the included 10W-30 engine oil (0.5-quart capacity). Do not overfill. Check the oil level with the dipstick before each use.

3.3 Adding Fuel

Use unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. The fuel tank capacity is 2.3 gallons. Do not overfill the fuel tank. Always ensure the fuel cap is securely tightened.

3.4 Removing Transportation Bolts

Before first use, locate and remove any transportation retention bolts as indicated in the full manual. These are typically orange-colored and secure the engine during transit.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Starting the Generator

The EZ Start Dial simplifies startup. Turn the dial to the CHOKE position. Pull the recoil start handle firmly until the engine starts. Once the engine runs smoothly, turn the dial to the RUN position. For warm starts, the CHOKE position may not be necessary.

4.2 Control Panel Features

The Quick Touch Panel provides easy access to controls. The Intelligauge with Power Meter monitors voltage, frequency, and operating hours. LED indicators show power output percentage (0%, 50%, 100%).

4.3 Economy Mode

Activate Economy Mode to reduce engine speed when the electrical load is low. This provides quieter operation, extended engine life, and improved fuel economy. The generator will automatically adjust engine speed to meet power demands.

4.4 Connecting Devices

The generator offers a variety of outlets:

4.5 Parallel Operation

For increased power output, this inverter can be connected in parallel with another 2800-watt or higher Champion inverter using an optional Parallel Kit (sold separately).

5. Maintenance

5.1 Oil Change

Change the engine oil after the initial 5-hour break-in period, and then every 100 hours of operation or annually. The generator features a no-tool access panel and an oil drain tube for easy oil changes.

5.2 Spark Plug and Air Filter

Inspect the spark plug and air filter periodically. Clean or replace as necessary to maintain engine efficiency. Access panels allow for easy inspection and replacement.
