4. Setup
4.1 Charging the Battery
- Connect the rapid charger ALG 80 to a power outlet (120V60H).
- Insert the Li-ion battery into the charger. The charger's indicator light will show the charging status.
- Once fully charged, remove the battery from the charger.
4.2 Attaching the Battery Pack
Slide the charged battery pack into the base of the drill/driver until it clicks securely into place.
4.3 Attaching the QuickIN Drill Chuck
The QuickIN MAX accessory interface allows for fast changes between applications.
- Ensure the tool is switched off and the battery is removed.
- Align the QuickIN drill chuck with the spindle of the drill/driver.
- Push the chuck onto the spindle and twist clockwise until it locks securely.
- To remove, twist counter-clockwise and pull the chuck off.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Powering On/Off
Press the trigger switch to turn the tool on. Release the trigger switch to turn it off.
5.2 Speed Selection
The drill/driver features a 4-speed solid metal gearbox, providing optimum speeds for various applications.
- Speed 1 & 2: Lower speeds for high torque applications like driving large screws or drilling large holes in metal.
- Speed 3 & 4: Higher speeds for faster drilling in metal or other materials.
Use the speed selector switch located on the top of the tool to choose the desired speed setting.
5.3 Drilling in Metal
- Select an appropriate drill bit for the material and desired hole size.
- Choose a lower speed setting (1 or 2) for larger diameter bits or tougher metals.
- Apply steady, even pressure. Do not force the drill.
- Use cutting fluid when drilling metal to prolong bit life and improve cutting performance.
5.4 Driving Screws
- Insert the appropriate screwdriver bit into the chuck.
- Select a lower speed setting (1 or 2) for driving screws, especially self-drilling screws, to maintain control and prevent stripping.
- Adjust the torque setting on the clutch collar to prevent over-tightening or stripping screw heads.
- Apply firm, consistent pressure in line with the screw.
