Setup Guide
1. Charging the Speaker
Before first use, fully charge your Brookstone speaker. Locate the USB Type-C port, typically found under a protective flap on the side of the speaker. Connect the provided USB Type-C charging cable to the speaker and the other end to a USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port. The charging indicator light will show the charging status and turn off when fully charged.
2. Powering On/Off
To power on the speaker, press and hold the power button (usually indicated by a power symbol) for a few seconds until you hear an audible prompt or see the LED indicator light up. To power off, press and hold the power button again until the speaker shuts down.
3. Bluetooth Pairing
- Ensure the speaker is powered on and in Bluetooth pairing mode. The LED indicator will typically flash rapidly, indicating it's ready to pair.
- On your smartphone, tablet, or other Bluetooth-enabled device, go to the Bluetooth settings.
- Search for available devices. You should see "Brookstone BKS380" or a similar name appear in the list.
- Select the speaker from the list to connect. Once connected, the speaker will provide an audible confirmation, and the LED indicator will typically turn solid blue or stop flashing.
4. Easy-Link (Connecting Two Speakers for Stereo Sound)
The Easy-Link feature allows you to connect two Brookstone BKS380 speakers for a true wireless stereo experience.
- Ensure both speakers are powered on and disconnected from any Bluetooth devices.
- Place the two speakers close to each other.
- Gently tap the two speakers together. You will hear a confirmation tone indicating they have successfully linked.
- Once linked, one speaker will act as the primary (left channel) and the other as the secondary (right channel).
- Now, connect your Bluetooth device to the primary speaker as described in the "Bluetooth Pairing" section. Audio will play through both speakers in stereo.
