User Management
- Administrator Setup: The first user configured through the app will typically be the administrator.
- Adding Users: Use the SL Access app to add up to 1,000 users. Each user can be assigned a unique passcode (4-8 digits) and access type (permanent, scheduled, temporary, or limited uses).
- Proximity Cards: Enroll proximity cards through the app for card-based access.
- Data Security: All user data is stored locally on the device, not in the cloud, enhancing security.
Output Modes
Configure the output relay via the app with three modes:
- Timed Relock: Output activates for a set duration (1 to 1,800 seconds) before relocking.
- Continually Unlocked/Locked: Maintains a constant state.
- Toggle: Toggles the output state with each valid access.
Operating Instructions
Accessing the Controlled Area
- Keypad Entry: Enter your assigned numeric code on the keypad, then press the '#' (pound) key. The device will indicate successful entry.
- Proximity Card: Present your enrolled proximity card to the reader area on the keypad.
- SL Access App:
- Open the SL Access app on your smartphone.
- Tap the "Unlock" button within the app.
- Alternatively, enable "Auto" mode to unlock automatically when within Bluetooth range.
Hold Open Function
The "Hold Open" feature allows the door to remain unlocked for an extended period. This can be activated via a specific code or through the SL Access app, and its duration is customizable.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the keypad surface with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Firmware Updates: Periodically check the SL Access app for available firmware updates to ensure optimal performance and security. Note: Some updates may require an Android device.
- Data Backup: Regularly use the app's export function to back up user lists and settings for archiving or replication.
- Power Outage: In case of a power outage, all data is reliably retained in the keypad's memory.
Troubleshooting
- Keypad Unresponsive:
- Check power supply connections.
- Ensure the operating voltage is within the specified 9~25 VDC range.
- Access Denied with Correct Code/Card:
- Verify the user code or card is still active and not expired (for temporary/scheduled users).
